Very tough watch
I have owned a Navigator for quite some time now, and it’s subjected to a lot of tough environments as part of use. I’ve not seen any deterioration during this time. Reports of fragility and bezel loss in first 2-4 weeks don’t match my experience at all. In fact, I got curious and tried to abuse the bezel to see if it would separate and it did not. I have to conclude that anyone who has really experienced this has probably subjected the Navigator to treatment that would damage many watches. Before you buy this watch, it’s probably important for you to decide whether you accept the DOD design parameters, which were essentially for a rugged yet ultimately disposable watch. The Navigator is not designed to be repaired but rather replaced. This is explicit in the DOD specifications. Hence the plastic case, etc. This is not unique to Marathon either — all watches produced under DOD contracts follow this same approach. If you talk with military guys, particularly infantry and armor guys, they all see equipment such as watches through this lens. It’s a consumable piece of equipment. This is at odds with how most civilian buyers think about a watch. In summary, if you knock a Marathon too hard against the side of an Abrams turret, it’s going to lose. But if you’re going to use it normally, even in rock climbing, skydiving, and other extreme sports, you’ll be fine. It’s a great watch.

$300 I want back
Watch is not worth the price I've had $20 Walmart watches last longer after just a month the watch has fallen apart with every day wear. The time nobe is completely gone, so is the dive bezel. It's a rip off.

Purchased mine from authorized dealer elsewhere and Marathon makes top quality actual real military issue watches. Highly recommend

Garbage…
Watch looks good and is comfortable to wear. Do not fall for the “tough” watch marketing. It is a piece of garbage that fell apart on my wrist in just a few short weeks, no extreme use just a joke of a watch. Go with a Casio and use the remaining $340 on something useful. Don’t fall for the hype Marathon will not stand behind their product. They will not answer my emails and want me to pay a restocking fee for a watch that fell apart…. This watch is a joke and so is Marathon customer service.

Canadian company that produces in Switzerland. Light weight and easy to read. Intended for military issue but is a durable and practical watch for daily use. A particularly nice feature is the access port for replacing the 317 battery. It’s not necessary to remove the whole back. The dual time zone bezel is a useful feature for people dealing with other time zones. Mine sage green model came with a black band but hardly an issue. Some have complained the tritium markers are not as visible as might be. I have found if I give my eyes time to adjust to the dark the markers and hands are quite clear.
