iRobot Roomba Plus 505 Combo Robot Vacuum & Mop with AutoWash Dock - Extending Spinning Mop Pads, Self-Empties, Pad Wash & Heated Drying, Self-cleaning, Recognizes & Avoids Obstacles, LiDAR Navigation

We have a very large house, 60/40 tile and carpet. Needed something for routine cleaning. Didn’t think the Roomba 505 would even be able to map the house. To our surprise it did it very quickly. Be sure to open all doors and clear as much of the floor of obstacles as possible for the best mapping. The mopping system works really well (I know lots of Chinese models have had similar features for awhile), but I didn’t want to deal with those companies and waited for iRobot to create a model with these features. The 505 does a great job on tile; with first use it filled the out-water tank with blacken water after double pass mopping over what looked like a generally clean tile floor. Couldn’t have been happier. I have returned to update this review to express how happy we are with its tile mopping. Its impressive how much dirt it picks up on a routine basis. I also have deep cleaned the mop pads in my Samsung drawer washer with great results. The dirty tank gets some grime built up in it, but its easy to clean. The vacuum works pretty well, I understand the double brush vacuums do better, but for general use it picks up the stuff I see typically around the house. I use a Mikita duster to blow out the Roomba's dust bin and filter after a couple of weeks, quick and easy. Keep your station maintained and the whole product should perform well. Its easy to do. The iRobot Home app on my iPhone/iPad still needs improvements. It just got its first update today. My house layout is larger than the software developers probably anticipated. It hard to pick rooms by label, without having to zoom in, as the labels overlap on screen during the room selection process. Note: the map can be zoomed in when doing this once you touch some part of the floor plan first. Sadly, there is no simple list view. Setting up different zones, or correcting missed mapping areas is challenging and cumbersome. iRobot needs to continue focusing on UI and usability improvements to this app. It may frustrate some, and lessen the enthusiasm for Roomba and the dock. NOTE: A great feature would be to direct the Roomba to a mis-mapped area, or changed environment and just have it scan and update that part of the map. Especially so for large houses like mine. We have patterned tile floors and Roomba overcleans some areas "thinking" its some stain or mess. Would be nice to be able to mark these questionable areas as "normal". If you interrupt the cleaning with the app or the battery is low on the Roomba, sometimes the Roomba is left in an odd state. For instance, it won't clean the mop when you expect it should. You can manually force the cleaning routines, but only when a minimum level of battery power is available. Just a few things the app has overlooked and hopefully will eventually be addressed. The user experience and quality robotic system is what will make a "premium" product for iRobot. The mechanical units (Roomba and waste dock work well). The water tanks could be twice the size for my house… but most likely designed for a typically sized house. I am surely planning to keep the Roomba 505, as I expect improvements to the app as iRobot gets more feedback on this newly designed combo vac/mop. There are already articles describing and even better (yet more expensive) 705 combo model on the way. If its better than the 505... it most likely will be worth the extra money. Very happy with this purchase after a few weeks of serious use. Will update if that feeling changes. Summary, I recommend this product at its new price point. A few more weeks have passed, the iPhone app as been updated twice. The app could have a few more nice features added, but it works. We have tile floors that have random patterns, there are a few spots the Roomba mistakes as spills and works very hard to clean them up. This is understandable, and wastes time with extra unnecessary trips back to the dock to clean pads. The app needs a feature to mark and ignore these situations. The Roomba itself has been doing a great job. Its been awhile now and the Roomba is used every day for general cleaning. I works very well, with proper care and feeding. I am impressed the tile floors that typically look clean still manage to brown the empty tank with dirt, kudos Roomba. Do pay attention to the removal and cleaning of the water filter in the bottom to the docking station. I didn't realize it was a plastic removal filter that needed periodic cleaning. Be sure to watch some online videos for the care and cleaning of the robot and docking station. There weren't any real instructions for doing most of this sorta stuff in the box. I do machine was the mop pads (in a Samsung drawer washer) and rinse out the dust filters to extend their use. Don't use any fabric softener with the microfiber pads. Try not to over dry the pads in the dryer, best to exchange pads and let them dry normally. Be careful of the slim clear plastic door in Roomba's dust bin, easy to wash out without noticing. I still really find this Roomba extremely useful and continue to recommend it to those that will take time to use and maintain it properly. The iOS apps gets updates, it still needs a few features to make it of "high quality", but for now its useable enough. Lastly, cleaning the "beater brush" would be far easier if the ends slide out and would allow the tangled hair on the ends to be just easily pulled out. Seems like such a simple and obvious solution, it is a pain to have to pull apart and remove the bound hairs when doing general maintenance. This is something iRobot could fix and improve the user experience a great deal since this is a user serviceable part that needs replacing periodically. I suppose this is my biggest complaint. But, far from a deal breaker. More of a WTF, why didn't you just let the ends of the roller brush pull out just make plucking the hair out super easy? For now my wife just makes me do it, actually I do all of it. :-)

The robot vacuum post that you didn't know you needed! TL;DR Roborock E4 {$179-$269} Roomba i6+ {$549-$799} If you're looking to get a robot vacuum, I would like to say DO IT. As to which brand to pick, it's a toss up, and completely depends on your budget. I bought our Roborock on sale for $179 last year and have been very pleased with it. My heart was originally set on the more pricey Roomba self-emptying units, but since I am frugal and wanted to see if it would even work here, I went with the lesser expensive bot. We have a house full of old furniture and rooms so I didn't know if a robot would even jive here. I have been VERY pleased with our Roborock. It has done a great job over the last few months while we are not home. I would say, realistically, 8 out of 10 times it went off without a hitch. It went down our foyer stairs one time and had also gotten itself lodged under my sewing machine and other furniture a handful of times. Every day that it did its cycle (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9am) I would come home and empty the trap. It has a washable filter and I cut the hair from the brushes and cleaned the sensors. It has been well worth the $179 to not have to see cat hair, hay, gravel, stove dust, and leaves everywhere. A week ago I bought the unit I had had my heart set on. Well, the unit a tier above the one I had had my heart set on. The lowest priced Roomba unit with the self emptying dock has been at about $500 for the last year, the i3+. The next level up, the i6+, has run about $799. Last week, and even now, Amazon has had the i6+ for the same price as the i3+. My assumption is that a new i6+ is probably coming out soon so they're blowing them out. WHICH IS FINE, I want one. I don't spend a lot of money on goofy things, except 1978 El Caminos, so I decided to spoil myself with this i6+. To be honest they were similar in price LOL. I'm an adult with adult money, no kids, and a farmy kind of property with a dusty wood stove so I did it. After purging, donating, selling, and burning almost everything I owned in the fall, having a clean house feels absolutely amazing. Having a clean floor 24/7 is almost euphoric. I enjoy being home and no longer have those nagging feelings of dread about things I need to be cleaning. I also very much enjoy the kitty cats and Chris and I have raging allergies so I need something to clean up the hair. My feelings so far on the two: Quality of the clean: Roomba and Roborock seem to clean the same. I was very pleased with both. The Roborock generally took a little more than an hour and would get down to about 30% battery life. It was also slower than the Roomba. The Roomba is a faster unit, almost a bit more violent, and takes about 3 hours to complete the first floor. It does seem to be more thorough and charges itself halfway through a first floor cycle. Apps: I didn't want to get another brand so I'd have a second app, but I went with the Roomba anyway. The Roomba has a far superior app. And by far I mean, from here to Australia. The Roborock app is great and easy to use, but very primitive. You also cannot choose certain areas to clean with the E4. It cleans everything or nothing. The Roomba i6 created a map of our house and will just do certain areas that I tell it to. It can do certain rooms on different days of the week or on command. Both tell you when to perform regular maintenance on the machines, when they are stuck, or if software updates are needed. Parts: I like that the Roborock company and Roomba BOTH offer replacement parts at affordable prices. I have been able to take apart and clean out the Roborock really easily. I won't have to do anything to the Roomba for a while, but I will have new brushes, filters, etc. on hand for when it is due. Clumsiness: The Roomba is definitely a superior machine, but it should be, at 3x the price of the Roborock. The Roborock is very primitive but very gentle. Like I said, only 1 time out of dozens of cleanings did it go down some stairs. And it was probably my fault for not cleaning the sensors. The Roomba is much, much faster and almost more violent, sometimes bashing pretty hard into my furniture and woodwork. I think after a few cleanings, it will figure itself out and no longer hit so hard. The Roborock is definitely a more simple, slower, and more methodical machine. Roomba goes in curvier lines and seems to have a method to the madness. Roborock says eff this madness, I need to go in a straight line or I'll die. Convenience: Both are great in that they are vacuums that I don't have to push around. We have so much wood floor, furniture, and trim - it is super cool to not have sheh just pushed up against it. I also cook a lot so the crumb thing was driving me bonkers. I do have to manually empty the trap on the Roborock, but it's not bad at all. A few seconds and I'm done. The filter is also washable, so it lasts a long time. The Roomba has the base that sucks the dirt out of the machine and into a disposable bag. 1. The base sounds like a god dang jet taking off when it gets the dirt out of the vacuum. 2. I haven't quite gauged how long it will take to fill the bag. Now I'll have to purchase bags from time to time. I'm not sure how I feel about it. But having to not have to remember to empty the little bastard is convenient since I have it running 3 days per week. Sounds: Both are god dang vacuums. They sound like vacuums. Run it while you aren't home. I hate seeing people complaining about the noise in online reviews. IT'S A effING ROBOT VACUUM, WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT? Physical differences: They are approximately the same size and weight. Both are black and have cameras and sensors in approximately the same areas. Major differences are that the brush on the Roborock is 1 actual bristled brush, while the Roomba has 2 rubber "brushes" that work simultaneously to pull dirt between them, instead of sweeping dirt up into a bin like the Roborock. Both seem to function very similarly, but I'd have to give the blue ribbon to the Roomba. I want to point out that the other reason I went with the Roomba was that the higher quality Roborocks [$500-$800] only come with vacuum AND mop features, and I did NOT want a mop feature. They also do not come with a self-emptying dock. I personally don't see how you can jam a mop system and a vacuum system in a bot the same size and not compromise the vacuum capabilities. I also read a lot of reviews that the mop part is just a glorified restaurant pre-packaged moist toilette and having it drag that around my entire first floor seemed kind of gross. It's just us and the cats, I will mop when I need to.

I got this after using two older Roomvas for years. My older two were different generations but functioned basically the same. Similar noise, similar battery, similar cleaning ability, etc. this one is vastly different. The first thing I noticed was how quiet it is. The noise from the older ones was my family's biggest complaint. This thing is noticeably quieter, and apparently has way more suction power. I love the mapping ability this has that my old ones didn't do. I had to use those little virtual walls or keep doors closed to keep it out of certain rooms. I just tell this one not to go there and it doesn't. Now for the negative - battery life. I suppose it makes sense that the battery may not be as good since this one also mops, but I wouldn't expect it to be this bad. Don't expect to turn it on and quickly clean your house in an hour or two. So far my experience is that it will clean anywhere from 10-30 minutes then go clean the mop pads, go clean again, then go charge for 1:45-2 hours before continuing to clean again! I even have the pad cleaning distance set to the max. So that's about twice as much time charging than cleaning. In theory, this should be fine. It just does it's thing and you ignore it, so I guess it doesn't matter. Since it's so quiet, I don't think anybody will care that it runs off and on all day, but it's still a stark difference from the 2hrs without a recharge it took for my old ones to complete the job. I've included pics of the cleaning timeline to give you an idea of it's behavior beyond my description. So far I've had it running for about 14 hours in the deep Clean setting, which does a criss-cross pattern everywhere, and it's only about halfway done. I won't do deep clean every time. I did have my old ones set to sweep every room twice, but I don't think that's feasible with this one or it won't be able to fully clean my house within 24 hours. I certainly don't think I can set it to run only during the hours we're at work and it complete the whole house in that time. I'll also add that I've refilled the water tank once already also. It wasn't quite empty, but was over 3/4 empty. So it's a quiet robot that cleans really well and does great at getting everywhere it needs to and staying away from where you don't want it, but the battery and runtime is quite disappointing. I'll give an update after I've lived with it for a few days of it running it's normal or "smart" cleaning runs.

I’ve been using the iRobot Roomba 505X for about a month now, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made. I have two Labs that shed constantly, and keeping up with the dog hair used to feel like a never-ending job. This vacuum has made a huge difference. It picks up the hair really well, and my floors stay clean because it’s vacuuming and mopping on a regular schedule. The mapping was quick and accurate, and I found the app easy to use. It lets me know when the water tank needs to be filled or when something needs attention, so I don’t have to guess. I usually run it on the Deep Clean setting because of my dogs, and I only have to refill the water tank a couple of times a week. I’ve only had to replace the dust bag once in the month I’ve been using it. The only issue I’ve had is that it’ll occasionally get tangled in the cord for my mini blinds if I forget to pull it up first. Other than that, it does a great job avoiding dog toys and furniture, and I haven’t had any problems with it getting stuck under anything. The mopping feature has been better than I expected. I add a little bit of cleaning solution to the water tank, and my floors come out clean with no streaks or puddles. It even seems to notice messier areas and spends extra time cleaning them. Overall, I’m really happy with it. If you have pets, especially dogs that shed a lot, this robot vacuum is definitely worth considering.

I was skeptical going in, but I really love the Roomba I6+. I have a golden retriever that sheds more than I thought possible, so his hair was always everywhere. Not anymore. You wouldn't even know I have a dog now. On Prime day, I went to the two extremes: I bought both the cheaper 692 and the I6+. I am keeping the I6+, even though it is 3 times as expensive. It is worth the difference, at least if you have a larger home. Features I love: 1) It cleans fantastically 2) It cleans in rows instead of random pattern- not only more efficient, but looks nice on carpet. 3) Smart Mapping: It maps my house and lets me name the rooms. Then I can schedule when I want each room cleaned, instead of having to have the whole house cleaned every time. Working from home, this is especially convenient, because I can have the office cleaned in the morning before I start work, and the other areas at different times. I also set up schedules to clean the high traffic areas more often, and other rooms less. I feel like the guy on the old infomercials for the rotisserie cooker - "just set it and forget it!" 4) The automatic collection is much better than I expected. Not only do I not have to empty the bin on the vacuum after each run, the bag on the collector holds so much more than I expected. The first time I ran the I6 over the complete house, after going under the bed and dressers, it picked up so much hair. But when full, it simply returned to the base to empty it. I was curious, so I hand emptied the bag afterwards to see how much it had picked up. The suction power of the base to collect and compress the dirt/hair is really amazing. The bag was not even full, but when hand emptying the bag, I could not believe how much hair it fit in that bag. That much hair would have filled up my previous Hoover upright vacuum probably 3 times. So, while originally I didn't think I really needed it, now I am a believer in the "+" with the automatic emptying. 5) It doesn't get tangled in electric/charging cords or tassels on the edge of rugs on the hardwood floors. I thought I was going to have to worry about having to tell it not to clean under my office desk, under my nightstands, or anywhere else I had lots of electrical cords. But I didn't, and it didn't get hung, or even pull out any plugs. It doesn't get hung on my rugs either. I am truly impressed and relieved. 6) It does integrate with Alexa. I don't need this most of the time since I have my cleaning scheduled, but if for some reason, I need an "ad-hoc" run in a room, I can simply say "Alexa , have the Roomba I6 clean the Kitchen". 7) General technology - I am an engineer, and I am generally so impressed with how well this works technically. The mapping and navigation are so exact. When it returned to the base to recharge or empty, it went back exactly to the spot where it left off. (it is easy to tell on the carpet, when you can see the traditional vacuum marks in rows.) Now that I have it scheduled by rooms, it cleans exactly where it is supposed to - exactly. It is truly amazing. The only (slight) negatives I have seen (or should I say heard): 1) The vacuum is fairly loud. I can't have it running in the room, or even right outside the room I am working in if on a call, or if you wanted it to run while you were sleeping. But this is no different from a regular vacuum, if your spouse was trying to vacuum while you were sleeping or on a call. 2) The dirt disposal from the vacuum to the base is really loud. It seriously sounds like a jet engine starting on a plane when you are seated right next to the engine. But again, it does such a great job of emptying and compressing the contents, I will take the noise with the power. But it would definitely wake you up! 3) Lastly, it isn't overly quick. My house has its master on the main, with all the other bedrooms upstairs. The first run through the entire house took over 5 hours, including the time it had to return to the base to empty and recharge. But again, it cleaned everywhere. It went around all table and chair legs (that it could fit through) to be sure it got the dirt/hair from all sides. It went under the bed and dressers. Plus, now that I have it scheduled by rooms on different days instead of the whole house at once, each day's run is much quicker. Overall, I love this vacuum. Originally a skeptic, that finally gave it a shot, now I would highly recommend this vacuum. So much, I may think about the associated Braava mop. But that may take me a while to convince myself also...

I absolutely love this robot vacuum! It does an excellent job vacuuming and mopping, and it leaves my floors looking spotless every time. The mapping is accurate, it navigates around furniture with ease, and the dock makes maintenance incredibly convenient. It’s quiet, efficient, and has saved me so much time on daily cleaning. The app is easy to use, and the overall quality feels premium. If you’re looking for a reliable robot vacuum and mop, this one is definitely worth it. Highly recommended!

This vacuum in amazing. Simply amazing. I've had a Roomba 650 for several years and was mostly satisfied with it but this iRobot Roomba i6+ is, well, miles ahead of the 650. Once you've got it set up and ready to rock, vacuuming your house is, for the most part, an afterthought. First of all, be assured that the i6+ is nearly identical to the i7+ with the exception of the silver top, no included virtual wall, and the lack of extra bags and filters included along with it. But more on that later. Set up is easy. Simply find a nice space for your Roomba to reside and you're on your way. iRobot says you need about one foot of space in the front and on the sides of the base station. Once you've established that, it's time to charge it and set it in motion. My i6+ came partially charged so I went ahead and charged it fully before beginning a vacuuming session. While it's charging, download the iRobot app from the Apple Store or Google Play Store. You can also link your Roomba to your home network at this time. It took me a few tries to get this right and I had to end up using a different router than I had first attempted to connect with. My "parking place" isn't too far from the router but for some reason, I could never get it to connect to that one. When you've connected, your i6+ will upload the latest firmware version. Once your Roomba is fully charged (you can follow the progress on the app), it's time for it to take a tour of your house. The instructions you receive with your vacuum isn't real clear on this next step so let me try and fill in that gap for you... The i6+ needs to learn your house before you'll be able to schedule regular cleaning runs. I watched several videos that told me to send it on mapping runs first. Your mileage may vary but the app didn't allow me to do this. For the first 2 times I vacuumed, I had to simply send it out to vacuum the entire main level of my house. Finally, after those initial couple of sessions, the Map icon lit up and I was able to send the i6+ out on scouting runs to more efficiently map the house. It's really amazing how you can see the map start filling in and how accurate it is. Once you've got your house mapped, you can start naming rooms and setting up schedules for cleaning. By far, the coolest thing about the map is the ability to set up "keep out" zones, such as areas where cords or cables are on the floor or, in my case, where the water dish is for the cat. This may take a bit of experimentation but it really works well once you set them up. I've had it bump the water bowl once but it was because the i6 got trapped by a chair someone moved while it was in a corner and the only way out was to take a path that the bowl was blocking. My old 650, like the i7, has a black top which, over time, became very scratched and unsightly. The silver top of my i6+ looks brand new, even after 30 or so sessions. Aside from the aforementioned water bowl bump, this i6+ has performed nearly flawlessly. There has only been, so far, one incident where it stopped during a session and that was due to it sucking up a cat toy on the floor. I simply pulled the toy from the rollers and off it went! I have yet to change the bag in the main unit and when I inspected the dirt bin on the vacuum itself for the first time today, it's amazingly clean and free of dust. I was constantly having to clean the bin of the 650 and change filters. Not so with this guy. If you're on the fence about buying this vacuum, have no fear. It is, as I stated above, amazing. Your house will stay much cleaner without investing your valuable time doing so. It's pricey, yes, but it's well worth the investment if you're looking for a vacuum that you can "set and forget".

I have had Roomba vacs since the beginning. My latest was the model S9 - which cleaned my house daily for 2.5 years. It worked almost flawlessly - until it didn't work at all. It simply lost its "mind". The logic/navigation system failed. It could no longer follow its map, find its own base and would be on the base with it's motor racing away while the app told me it was looking for base - or it was cleaning and had been for hours - when it was on the base, silent and still. Resetting the unit and all other attempts to get it working failed. I could not reach iRobot customer service, which research revealed is a common complaint based on Reddit postings. I feel abandoned by the manufacturer because, I don't know about you, but for me, when you invest $1000 in something and maintain it meticulously, I feel it should last more than 2.5 years. So - in need of a new vacuum I asked the Amazon AI shopping assistant to recommend a new Roomba model for me. Despite the lack of customer service, I simply need these machines - so I will still attempt to reach iRobot. Amazon's Ai assistant asked me many pertinent questions about my home and recommended the Plus 505 Combo. I loved the concept of a combination vac/mop robot - until I didn't. It turned out the Plus 505 is one of the most useless pieces of technology I have ever owned - and that's saying something because I'm into tech. The S9 served my needs. The Plus 505 constantly asked me to serve it - without having vacuumed or mopped much at all. By that I mean, fill and empty the clean and dirty water tanks - which would be fine - but it needed to be done DAILY - when really not much mopping was being accomplished at all. The major problem with the Plus 505 Combo is that the mapping system user interface on the app is FAR inferior to the S9 and other models that allowed you to set up invisible walls. The Plus 505 incorrectly mapped my home - after more than adequate mapping and cleaning runs to get it right. It's not that it misnamed the rooms - which is not a problem because you can change the names to anything you want. The problem is when my kitchen, center hall and living room, which are not open concept, were mapped as one space - that I then could not divide them because the mapping UI does not have that feature, like the S9 did. Other current Roomba models still do have that feature, such as the J7+ and Braava Jet M6. So, for example, if I wanted the Plus 505 to vacuum and mop just my kitchen, it would have to vacuum the kitchen, center hall and living room. The same applied to mapping issues throughout the house. In fact, the Plus 505 decided my kitchen consists of a couple of passes on one side of the kitchen island and that the rest of the room doesn't exist - and there was no way for me to correct that. The Amazon AI shopping assistant told me the Plus 505 has the same mapping capabilities as the S9, which is one of the reasons I ordered it. Also - the dust bin in the robot is smaller than the S9 so it returned to base too frequently to empty the bin into the base. And - I don't have an unusually dusty or dirty home. There's no pet hair or anything else that would fill the dust bin unusually fast. And - the filter in the robot is smaller than the S9 - and it got FILTHY very fast. Yes, the filter is washable - but, along with constantly having to empty and fill the water tanks, the smaller, dirtier filter would mean more of me serving the machine instead of it serving me. Also, the Plus 505 has one roller, where the S9 had two. The Plus 505 roller IS easer to access than the one on the S9 so that is an improvement - however the one roller was promoted as less likely to get tangled - which turned out not to be true, in my experience. The edge cleaning brush on the S9 was never great and the one on the Plus 505 is actually an improvement in terms of function and user maintenance installation. As far as set up and connectivity to WiFI - the Plus 505 arrived with absolutely no written instructions at all. Now, it would be fine to use the instructions on the app - except that the instructions on the app cannot be accessed until after you set up the unit! Since I have experience with other Roomba models I was able to set it up on instinct, but if you do not have that experience and want to buy this unit, maybe find an online setup video. The unit did connect to my WiFi easily. It appears to have a durable , solid build. I respect the coders and engineers who figured out how to get the mop arms to spread out from the unit and how to get the mop pads to avoid rugs and not get them wet when passing over them. And the LIDAR navigation is nice - if it was integrated with accurate mapping and improved UI. That is all commendable. So - if you are so into tech that you will enjoy the many maneuvers and what I call "fancy dancing" this unit does, without minding that not much cleaning is getting done - it is interesting to watch. I applaud clever advances in technology and the human ingenuity that makes that possible, but, for me, the Plus 505 was a step backwards. It feels like it is headed for something great - with more "tweaks" - but is not there yet. So, I returned it. I've ordered the J7+ and the Bravva Jet M6, which ,it seems, both have the advanced mapping UI that the S9 had, where you can divide rooms - they are said to both work on the same map. So now I will have 2 robots doing the job the Plus 505 was intended to do - hopefully.

El tipo de base está mal diceñado de lugar de darle mayor soporte a la hora de acomodarse le cuesta trabajo acomodarse aveces tarda en acomodarse o no hace bien contacto para cargarse. En limpieza siento que le falta más subccion si aspira Masomenos bien incluso gracias a su censor de suciedad se regresa a recoger lo que le faltó pero siento que le falta mejoras en su diceño y más sensores cuando está en el segundo piso antes de bajar las escaleras se supone trae sus sensores delanteros para pararse y no caer en las escaleras si se para pero queda medio robot en el piso y la otra mitad volando sobre las escaleras debiendo parar en seco al robot en cuanto sensa que no hay piso , no está bien programado esa parte lo que realice es que le puse unos centímetros antes de que pase esa situación le puse como zona restringida. Por el tipo de rodillos que trae si ayuda con el pelo de mascotas hay una situación ahí y es que aveces 2 de cada 5 veces cuando hay demaciado pelo de gato no lo subccion bien o no lo atrapa bien con los rodillos y lo que hace es que se queda almacenado debajo de los rodillos cuando ya está en su base y levantas al robot tedas cuenta que tienes un fajo de pelos ahí acumulados. Desde mi punto de vista para evitar ciertas cosas como está y hacer que te funcione bien la robotina la recomendación siempre será que la robotina este aspirando 2 veces al día todos los días solo así no va tener tantos detalles. Si es un buen producto pero deben de mejorar muchas cosas para que el que la compre no tenga que estar haciendo trucos para que funcione como uno quiere.

This Roomba vacuum cleaner performs better than our other two lidar based vacuums. It navigates quite well and meticulously cleans our floors. For the navigation it does require some light. The self cleaning feature was the selling point for me and it is worth it! If I forgot to clear out the boxes daily on my other vacs, they would not perform as well and effectively would waste their vacuuming runs. The Roomba has performed flawlessly over the past three weeks. It has found its base each and every time. It has picked up the hair from two dogs and a cat. I divided the daily runs (last two map images) into two as the battery life is one weak point and having it recharge to continue, we found to be annoying. In the morning it does the run where we tend not to be in and in the afternoon, the other portion of the house. It has been working out well with no interruptions to empty or recharge. Our living area consists of all hard floors and has a lot of furniture and obstacles for the vacuums. Having said this, the layout was robot proofed for the prior robot vacuum cleaners so it did make it easier to implement the Roomba. After completely charging the robot, I did a single mapping run with all rooms well lit. That, surprisingly, worked out perfectly. Our vacuumable area out of 1700 square feet of technical floor space is around 1000 square feet. I check and clean the bag, brushes (if necessary) and filter once a week. Pros: Excellent at cleaning and picking up fur (one dog is a husky that sheds a lot) Self cleaning bin is very effective. Good navigation in light Good cleaning pattern Much less maintenance than other robots without the self-emptying bin Rotating brushes work very well with no tangles to date. Better than my Lidar at actually cleaning. Dirt sensing ability and repeats cleaning in those areas where it detects more dirt. Good mapping. Minor Cons: Shorter battery life than other Lidar based robots. Needs light to navigate effectively. Lidar vacuums are more precise in their coverage and navigation. Major cons: None yet. I have been impressed enough to consider having another one in the future for our lower level. I had carefully researched for weeks before purchasing this I6+ (which is the same as the I7+ and I8+ except for extras). While I prefer Lidar based robots normally, this one seemed to be the best self-emptying robot available. I purchased this while it was on sale before Christmas.

I’ve been really impressed with the Roomba Plus 505x Combo + AutoWash dock. It has made keeping my floors clean so much easier, especially in the kitchen, hallway, and living room. I love that it both vacuums and mops in one run, and the rotating mop pads do a great job on dried spills. The mapping system was quick to learn my home layout, and it easily avoids obstacles. One of my favorite features is the AutoWash dock — not having to empty the dustbin or wash the mop pads myself saves a lot of time. It works especially well on hardwood and tile floors. The app is also simple to use for scheduling specific rooms or setting extra cleaning in busy areas. Overall, this has been a huge help for keeping the house consistently clean with very little effort on my part.

So far, I am in love with this machine. We chose very carefully as different models offer different features and we had a ‘must have’ list and had a budget. This model ticked all the boxes- self emptying/self cleaning mop heads, able to avoid a sock or dog toy, recognize carpets while mopping and has good suction. The app is also very useful for programming schedules or ordering clean up on demand. There is a ‘clean zone’ feature which allows you to target hi traffic areas within a room and a spot clean in the app for spills and quick clean ups which replaced the old spot clean. you can quickly pop it onto the house map and she will come clean up a mess in that square. Having her wash and dry her mops is a great feature as you know the mops aren’t going to sit and get moldy. Learning curves: don’t try to run her at night. She needs light to operate her best. Don’t cancel her job unless you are there to put her away, I assumed she would just go back to her dock but she didn’t and she sat on the floor in the dark with wet dirty mops and ran out of battery. With 4 cleaning options, there is something for every need. Vac, mop, vac & mop and vac THEN mop. The difference between the last two are vac & mop is a time saver for light cleaning. if you have really dirty floors you would choose vacuum first, then mop and she will do a better mop job afterwards. Set up was easy with the app and she did a darn good job mapping out the house. Every time she cleans, she gets more intuitive and today I see on our map a picture of our bed with pillows and a toilet in the bathroom, whereas these were just blank areas when she was first mapping. She is also good about alerting us on the app when she has an issue like a closed door or obstacle so we can correct. Make sure you enable alerts on your app. Set up with SIRI was simple. I have a Dyson V15 with the green light that shows dust and dog hair that I was using daily for the wads of dust and dog hair that falls. I used it after she performed a vac&mop and I was pretty impressed by how much she picked up. It will never be perfect, there is always hair and dust in the air that will fall minutes later, but at least I don’t have to vacuum every day and can save a day for a deep clean with my Dyson and let my robot do the rest. Don’t be surprised if you spend a lot of time watching her on the app at first. She’s amazingly thorough and works a grid to cover every inch of floor. This is our first robot vacuum and I am very impressed with our choice, plus we got it on sale and saved $200 so that was the ‘fit the budget’ that was on our list.
