Just right for storing baked goods for a few days
In the past I've used plastic bags to store fresh biscuits, scones, and bread, but then I have to leave the bag partially open to let the moisture out. How far open? Well, it's a guess, isn't it? Too much and it dries, too little and everything is soggy. Not a great system.I bought the three pack of these bags. Nice designs, and they're sturdy. I've tried them now with scones and a 2-pound loaf of bread, and these are perfect, at least for the couple of days that the baked goods lasted around here. I'm sure that if you try to store something for a week, the air passing through will eventually dry out the baked goods, but for someone who wants unsoggy goods for a few days, these appear to be about right, and WAY better than messing around with plastic.Oh, and the package came with a clever idea that never occurred to me. They suggested slicing the loaf in the middle and putting the two ends back together to store it. That way you don't have to mess around with waxed paper to seal the end, which is a lot of trouble no matter how you store your bread. Since then someone suggested cutting the end off and using that as a cap, but if I do that, I'm going to eat the crusty end right off the bat!Good product, recommended!

A wonderful way to keep your homemade bread fresh!
I bake all of our family's bread and have searched for a long time for the best way to store the bread so as to keep it fresh while at the same time maintaining the texture of the crust. These bags are the answer to my quest. You can put homemade bread in plastic bags or boxes with little air vents, but the crust will suffer and totally lose its crispness. I wrap my loaves now in waxed paper, not cling wrap, and then store them in these very attractive linen bags. The bread stays fresh for days and the crust, while not as crisp as when first baked, does not soften as in plastic bags. I might try using the bags alone for loaves that I haven't yet cut into. This will probably keep the crusts even crisper.I heartily recommend these bags. I bought the economical package of three because I often have several of my loaves on hand and also because I couldn't decide between the attractive illustrations on the bags. The strong drawstring on the tops of the bags secures your loaves. You can then fold the tops over according to size. This is a space saving, rustic and eco-friendly way to store your breads on a counter or shelf. I'm really happy with this purchase.

Love these
I recently started making home made breads and found when I put the loafs in plastic containers, they would loose all their crispness. I also couldn't just leave the loaves out in the open because they would dry out or the bugs might find them. I purchased these bags and love them. I can send a loaf to my mom in these reusable bags. I keep my bread in the bag right in the counter and it keeps the bread fresh with out drying out or getting too moist. Added plus, one of my loaves recently came out a bit dry, so to keep it moist, I sprinkle a bit of water on top of the bag once a day.

Advertising Printed on the Bag
I gave these bags 3 stars because there is advertising for their website printed on the back of the bags. This was not pictured in the product description, however, while double checking because perhaps I missed the advertising while shopping, I saw a customer had posted a picture in the review section clearly showing the advertising. I wish I would have caught that before I purchased. My feeling is that if a company is going to advertise so blatantly on a product it should be passed out for free, like what we call "swag" at trade shows for example. I really despise paying for a company's advertising tactics. How well they preserve bread or hold up to washing remains to be tested. I cut my homemade sourdough bread loaves in half, threw one half in the freezer and wrapped the other half tightly in parchment paper before inserting it in the bag and wrapping the bag up tightly. I will update this review if the bag doesn't preserve the bread longer than a day or two. Three days would be nice.

Linen Bread Bags
These bags are beautifully made and you do get 3 ! One thing I did think was the plastic bags to put the breads in was going to be part of it. So just an FYI if you need the bags you can order through this site.Another great feature to the bag was the tag giving us a idea of what else to use to keep your breads fresh.I just got into bread making and look forward to using the bags on the next baked goods I do !I would order these if you think that this is something you would like as a home baker.

Perfect for my Sourdough Boules as Gifts
I love these bread bags. I make a lot of sourdough as gifts for neighbors and friends and presenting them in these bags makes it so special. You can't actually store the bread after it's been cut or it will dry out but for what I needed - a gift bag, they are perfect. Thanks!

If you bake a 2 loaf recipe of bread and share it, these are perfect!
These bread bags are a wonderful linen. Most that make their own home made bread will tell you is difficult to keep. You can refrigerate your bread in the bags as well as share a loaf with a family member or friend. These linen bags are also quite nice to the touch and very appealing to the eye!I got the three bag pack because I bake 2 loaves at a time, sometimes more, but I like to share it! ...... but you might want to make sure your family or friends are CLOSE! You don't want to lose track of these bread bags.😊...... the rustic look and the linen feel makes the reciever feel like they are getting much more than great home made bread!

Way better than a ziplock bag!
I just started making bread and baked a beautiful artisan bread with a crisp crust. When I put it in a ziplock bag, the crust lost all of its crispiness. So I started looking for an alternative and found these bags! They are very sturdy, a large size, and the mouth shuts tightly. The makers of the bag include good instructions for minimizing the air getting to the cut sides of the bread to retard drying out. I made another batch of bread yesterday and the crust is still crisp today! I was so happy with my purchase, I gave one of my three bags to a friend who is a superior bread maker and she was thrilled. I would definitely say this was a great purchase! :-)

Not fit for purpose
These bags look nice but are no good for keeping any bread in at all. The bread goes hard and stale within a day so might just as well be left on the worktop. What a waste of money!!!

Pretty rubbish quality
Washed the bags as soon as they arrived. After a single wash the fabric was pilled and lost it’s quality finish + one of the bags had a seam split during the wash. Pretty rubbish quality and while I can still use the bags, I would not recommend them.

Looks nice but not practical
They are 3 string closed bags with a picture of bread on it. The string does not close fully so it cant keep bread fresh for any length of time. Looks nice but not really practical.
