I set this up without my husband in less than an hour, but the ease of assembly would greatly improve with two people. The color is a subtle matte black, and is fairly easy to keep clean. I use the provided cover and have no issues keeping it clean! You can see the LED light strip when you look down at it. I wish it was placed underneath, but I think that could be easy fixed. The whole thing just pushed in. Once i popped the knob off i could see the washer had fallen off and was not holding the gas line in place. I am sure this came off in shipping.
