Good quality, great germination if you know how to germinate them
There were exactly 20 seeds, all the ones I germinated the right way sprouted perfectly.Lotus seeds are viable for hundreds of years, so however old the seeds are, they’re viable. The issue is, there’s a very specific way to germinate them and most people don’t know how to do that.Firstly, soak the seeds in water for a couple days. Yes, some of them will float, let them. It doesn’t mean they’re unviable or dead. Most of mine floated and then sprouted after a few days of floating. After letting them soak for a couple days, use a sharp blade and very carefully and gently cut off ONLY THE VERY TIP of the outer skin (leathery and brown layer) on the side of the seed that has a small dimple, a tiny hole. This is the side that the sprout will come out of,but the brown lotus skin is usually too hard for the sapling to sprout out of. In nature, seeds lie on the pond bed for years before water can finally soften and penetrate the outer shell enough to make them sprout. By cutting off the tip of the lotus seeds skin, you’re hastening this process. Now put the seeds back into water and they’ll begin sprouting within 3 days of this.Keep changing the water daily and make sure to keep them where they get a bit of sunlight, and never in an Ac room. Lotuses love heat, humidity, sun and filthy water. After about ten days, the saplings will open their first leaves. They’re still not ready to be planted.About 3-4 days after the leaves open, they’ll finally start producing tiny filamentous roots from their stems, near the seed.Start getting your potting mix (preferably pond clay with cow manure and npk) ready, get your planters and basins ready, because within 3-4 more days, the roots will have developed rapidly and each sapling will have developed one rhyzome, a thin tubular root system that puts out more leaves.at this point, the sapling is ready for planting.Make sure that when you plant them, you only submerge the seed and the rhyzome under the soil, make sure the stems/new leaves emerging from the rhizomes are above soil. If they’re buried, the lotus plant dies.Put down a gently layer of either river sand or river pebbles to make sure the soil isn’t disturbed when you pour water over it. Pour water into you tub and allow the lotus leaves to float. If you’re not adding fish to your pond ecosystem, you can start fertilising with NPK fertiliser after a month of planting, and then fertilise every couple weeks. If you want a natural solution to rid mosquito larvae surviving in your pond, add in guppy fish. Any fish with an upward positioned mouth will be able to suck up larvae on the surface of the water. I haven’t gotten to this point yet, but maybe I’ll edit the review to add more info once I have.Either way, these are great quality seeds, very viable if you know the right way to germinate them.Happy growing!

Germination is poor.
Germination rate is quite low. Approx. 45% only sprouted so far. Flowering is yet to start. Don't know which color flowers will cime out ?

Bad quality
Received only 19 seeds, as against 20, of which three are damaged, so sixteen seeds are soaked in water, & hoping to see them grow up

Received less seeds than mentioned
Got 14 seeds instead of 20. How about rest of the seeds. Paid full for all 20. When do I receive balance seeds.
