Accurate enough for small, fast moving game.
I use these to hunt nuisance squirrels on our family farm. Squirrels are tiny in general but their bodies are even smaller under all the fur, so having an accurate projectile is paramount. I shoot these out of a Hatsan Airtact .25 cal break-barrel rifle. It's deadly to small game under 20 yards. People with high powered PCP air rifles might even have better success at longer ranges.

Devastating on game, flat shooting and fights wind very well
Likely the single most violent .177 and .22 pellets on the market. Higher BC then let's say Polymags or Metalmags yet just as devastating if not more like so. They shoot flatter and with less wind drift yet transfer energy just as quickly as the polymags. I do always keep 3 or 4 tins of Polymags in .177, .22, .25 and .30 on hand, because some of my PCPs shoot them the best and in .25 and .30 the polymags are monsters, a .25 Polymag at 55ftlbs and the .30s at 100ftlbs are truly a sight to behold on game.. I'm talking in .177 and .22 these pellets are awesome, I think the predator polymags are more accurate in the majority of guns then the cuda hunters are (Predator hit it on the head with the JSB lead and the design of the pellets because they are extremely accurate in the vast majority of guns I've shot them in and that's A LOT of PCP and Breakfast barrels) but if your gun likes the cuda hunters be very happy because they are roughly 1/3rd the cost per shot then polymags, shoot flatter, drift less in wind and are just as violent on game as the polymags and on tougher animals penetration is better then the polymags. This is a pellet I try in every gun I get pcp or other powered and I always cross my fingers it likes them. I have found if a gun likes 4.51 for .177 and 5.53 for .22 head size pellets that it is almost assured that it will like these, these pellets Avg 4.51mm head size in .177 and 5.52mm in .22 if you average out the head size over 100 pellets, I have checked many tins and this is what the head size average is, H&N claims they are 4.50mm in .177 and 5.5mm in .22 but that is not right, I have checked prolly 1000 pellets each in .22 and .177 over 10 or so tins of each from different lots and 4.51 and 5.52 is what the average is. Like I said this is a deff pellet to try in any mag power springer/gas ram gun and any PCP, they are worth a try as if it shoots them well you have a violent pellet on game. I have taken starlings at between 75 and 110 yards with my FX Royale 400 walnut .22 tuned to 37ftlbs and my FX Impact with the .22 barrel on pushing them at 36ftlbs on med power, and my Impact with the .177 barrel on it at 23ftlbs on med power, and my S510 US in .177 at 20ftlbs on med power and my S510US in .22 tuned to 43ftlbs. I have a lot of PCP guns and a fair bit of high end springers and those are the PCP guns I own that really eat this pellet up, on starlings at 75 to 110 yards any of those guns will put lead on a starling 100% of the time if I do my part and call the wind correctly, and that is a big plus over the polymags this pellet has, the higher BC of this pellet over the polymags allows you more error room on wind hold off then with a polymag, if I miss judge the wind on a 100 yards shot with a polymag holding off from a 5 MPH wind and it's really a 7mph wind I will miss a starling size target, with this pellet I would have to miss judge the wind by 4 to 4.5mph on a 100 yards shot to miss a starling size target. That's a big deal honestly it's easy to miss call the wind by 2mph but much harder to miss judge by 4mph, on a crow size bird at 100 yards with my Impact in .22 with this pellet I could hold center mass in a 90 or 270 degree to pellet 5mph wind and still connect, with a polymag I would have to use the .25 barrel at 58ftlbs to have the same freedom of not worrying about wind. This pellet is awesome if your gun shoots it plain and simple, I know this review sounds like it's a great pellet BUT... well that's not true at all this review is 100% positive and this is a AWESOME pellet, the polymag has its place but overall this is a better pellet IF your gun likes it.. the polymag shoots lights out in most guns plain and simple very few guns don't like polymags, this pellet isn't liked by so many guns BUT if your gun likes both and shoots both equally well then the Baracuda hunter is absolutely the better pellet AND it's 1/3rd the cost per shot of polymags.

High precision!
This pellets are spot on. Rifle shooting speed and precision are unmatched with these pellets. I use them for hunting small game. They do good damage and get a lot of OHK

Good pellet and decent accuracy.
Pretty good pellet. Iโm shooting them out of a Brocock bantam sniper and they are pretty accurate. About a us quarter size group of 5 shots at 40ish yards. I only gave 4 stars because they arenโt the most accurate pellet in my rig but also I shot them through a thick folded up towel with an oak board as the back drop and got zero expansion out of the hollow point. The skirt was all that expanded and that was just from hitting the board so I would estimate that they would expand at all in an animal unless you hit bone. But itโs weight makes a good compromise between heavy weight and hard hitting versus high velocity low energy.

Excellent and lethal survival ammo!
The facts! Iโm a trained military rifleman and hunter. I received these pallets that I ordered from Amazon in a timely manner. 27.47 grain hollowpoint H and N barracuda. Shooting from a Hatsan invader, I was getting an average speed of 975 ft./s. I was shooting into a 1 inch oak board. As many of you know, an oak board is much harder than plywood or pine boards. These pellets went 9/10 of the way through and expanded perfectly into a mushroom near the exit point of the board. After calculations, I determined that I was producing 59.12 foot pounds of energy. Lethality is in the hands of the shooter and shot placement is most important. About to use for survival rounds and I canโt think of a better ammo to have as an all purpose pellet. They are accurate! They are precise, they work well in my air rifle, they expand like they are supposed to. Excellent ammo for any 25 caliber air rifle thatโs pushing 850 ft./s or better. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Unbeatable for hunting with a Benjamin Titan NP .22
Incredibly accurate and much more stopping power than previously purchased ammunition. I'm using a Benjamin Titan NP out to 40 yards at times and these pellets are the most predictable and consistent that I've found yet. Was previously using a variety of ammo to include Gamo, Crosman, Benjamin, Predator, and JSB but they were mediocre for accuracy at the distances I required. After sighting in this ammo I am able to shoot quarter groupings at 30 yards. Stopping power is amazing as a hit to any critical area (chest, ribs, neck, head) results in the animal either immediately dropping or jumping several feet and expiring. Prior hollowpoint ammo has been disappointing in this regard as critical hits do not result in the immediate stopping power that hollowpoints are renowned for. Build quality is on par with the most expensive ammo that I've used. I've gone through 3/4 of the can and have found only one misshapen round. That, to me, is a quality ammo. I can feel confident reaching into the can and knowing that I will have a perfect pellet to place into the barrel. For my uses, I believe I've found the ammo I'll continue to use as long as I'm hunting with my air rifle. Will be purchasing again.

Consistenly accurate
After testing several different pellets. It came down to 3, H&N FFT, Baracuda Huntet Extreme, and this one. I used a chrono at muzzle, 11yrds & 22yrds. The most consistant w/ fps & fpe is the baracuda hunter then the FFT, then the baracuda hunter extreme. In homemade gel and in homemade playdoh, the Extreme opened up more and had the least amount of penetration w/ the largest cavity. The FFT had the most penetration, as its a solid dome, but the smallest cavity, the Hunter had a good cavity and about 3/4 the penetration of the FFT. My numbers for fps are FFT mzl 905, 11yd 860, 22yd 790. Hunter Extreme 872, 803, 750. Hunter 811, 772, 725. All had 12 ftlb @ 22yds. As far as accuracy goes, the Hunter 3/8" group @ 22yds with the FFT @ 1/2" and the extreme about 3/4", could be better but i wiggle alittle bit. All had different poi. Zeroed at 11yds there wasnt enough difference to really matter. To get the best accuracy for testing you must clean your bore and the relead it with 12 shots or so when switching between different brands of pellets because of differences in the lead they use. In gas piston/springers, artillery hold is paramount. In picture, left to right, unfired, 11yd gel, 22yd gel, last @ 20yd through a starling along my fence, got lucky and found it in the grass.

Worlds greatest.
Worlds greatest hunting pellet. I use this pellet, a lot in .22 and .25 caliber. Never really used my .177 for hunting, but I owned a few of them, and wanting to get more use out of my .177, I decided to give it a shot. I decided on my gamo coyote, mostly because it was a comfortable all day carry. Crosman heavy shot the best, out to 50 yards, but they would blow right through the squirrels. As long as it was a head shot, I was ok. Lung shots, we're too suspect, was just not doing enough damage. With all of my other larger caliber pcp, I hunt with the barracuda hunter, and I love the way the head on the pellet expands, dumping all of its energy in a very short space. So I ordered some and they are just as accurate as the crosman pellets , with the added bonus of being a hollow point. If you hunt, and these shoot well, out of you rifle, it is a no brainer. Do yourself a favor, try these. Head shots, chest shots, running shots( the squirrel running, not you) these are the answer. A few before and after shots. Removed from grey squirrel.
