Smaller bucket than seat opening -- protect your floors while using!
I got this bedside commode for one of my parents who recently had a major mobility setback and could not get to the toilet. It was very easy to put together, but I have still not been able to figure out how to lower the side armrests despite following instructions. It's okay because I don't know when I would lower them (other than to maybe slide over to the toilet from the bed?).It is very sturdy. The product page mentions it supports up to 500 lbs, but the box mentions 400 lbs. My parent weighs just over 230 lbs so I am not worried about the weight limits, but wanted to mention in case you are purchasing this for someone who weighs more than 400 lbs.The seat, seat back and armrests are all nicely cushioned.I love the adjustable legs -- very easy to raise/lower. I also appreciate that this can be used over a fixed toilet (using the open chute instead of the closed bucket) and that it comes with a lid to keep waste contained until ready to clean. But there are a few cons...1. The blue bucket/chute thing is difficult to open, so I am not sure how useful the lid is if pressed down fully. I would be worried about it spilling everywhere if I pull too hard to separate the lid from the bucket.2. The blue bucket/chute thing is smaller than the seat opening so for people who are using it to urinate and defecate in one go, you're likely going to have a mess on the floor. I will get commode liners and hope they keep waste from going between the bucket and the seat gap. I may also look for a larger bucket to see if such a thing exists.3. The seat opening feels really huge like I'm going to fall in. I'm 5'7" and weigh 190 lbs. The parent using this is 40-50 lbs heavier than I am with a larger behind, so the seat hole/opening does not feel as big to them. Keep this in mind as I worry a petite person would risk falling in.Overall this bedside commode is really nice quality and has been helpful as we navigate my parent's current mobility challenges.

good quality bedside commode
RE: Loyoda FSA/HSA Eligible Drop Arm Bedside Commode, Commode with Padded Seat and Backrest, 500lbs Capacity, 6.3QT Removable BucketUser: 5’3” 175 to 180 poundsInstallation was simple and straightforward. The material seems well made and durable. The commode is of good size. It is not wobbly even sitting on carpet.I am using this for my exceptional adult child after a bad fall. A bedside commode was recommended by her specialist. I put this in her bedroom right beside her bed for very easy access. I don’t have to worry about her walking to the restroom anymore. I always keep a plastic sheet underneath the commode. I always use commode liners with the commode since they make clean up a breeze. Since I use a commode liner, I don’t have to worry about any spills or the bucket not sized up correctly. Adjusting the height and armrest has not been an issue. We have also used this over our regular toilet since she needs help getting up; the raised height made it easier for her to get up on her own.We are happy with its quality, durability, stability, ease of ease, multi-use ability, and functionality. I like the peace of mind that it brings for my household.

Far Superior To My More Traditional Commode!
Due to mobility issues, I sometimes have trouble making it all the way to the restroom. I already had a bedside commode, but was in need of one that was a bit heavier duty. That is where this one comes in.Assembly is a breeze. A majority of the frame components snap or clip together. It took all of around ten minutes to complete. This commode is designed more like one of those common standalone raised toilet seats, only with a commode bucket. The lightweight aluminum frame is very sturdy. It didn’t take me very long to realize that this product is much better suited to me. The padded seat and backrest are much more comfortable to sit on for long periods of time. Additionally, the wider construction allows me to sit and stand much easier. The large waste bucket lasts quite a while, and is easy to remove/reinstall. Another great feature is the ability to fold down the armrests. This allows you to twist and maneuver much easier as opposed to a traditional commode. I would call this a win for sure. Additionally, the padded seat can be raised out of the way for easier management of the waste bucket.Overall, I am very satisfied with this bedside commode. It is certainly an improvement over my more traditional one. It works well, and is loaded with many user-friendly features. I would recommend it to anyone in need of a commode.

Sturdy and comfortable bedside commode
Bought this for a family member who needed some extra support. The chair feels solid and was pretty easy to put together, with clear instructions in the box. The seat padding is decent and the adjustable height feature works fine. It’s a bit larger than I expected, but that’s not really a bad thing. The bucket is simple to remove and clean. Only thing is the arm drop function takes a bit of effort, but overall, this does what we needed and feels safe to use.

High quality bedside commode, sturdy and easy to assemble
I got this to help a family member with toileting following a major surgery. It was very easy to assemble, it very sturdy, is highly adjustable, and is reasonably easy to clean. The seat arrived with some creases and scratches, but these did not penetrate the surface, so I was not too concerned with this cosmetic defect. Overall, great product if you are in a situation where you need it.
