A workout MUST HAVE!
I am blown away by this jump rope.Initially when I got this and unboxed it I laughed. It is the biggest, bulkiest "jump rope" I've ever seen in my life, and then I fell in love once I gave it a shot! The quality and color is beautiful and vibrant which I love for my work out equipment- it just makes it more fun to use! The rope itself is very heavy duty and the handles are wrapped nicely and very easy to hold on to.Like I said, it's quite bulky but it makes for a very intense work out and once you get the hang of it, it's very easy to get used to.I'm not a big person at just 5'2 and 115lbs and it's a great full body workout for me! I highly recommend this rope if you're looking for a simple piece to give you a very intense work out!

Good weight not very practical
I returned this item as you need a smooth surface to jump on. Not for rugged terrainMost ropes come with a sleeve to protect the material when you jump.Pricey.

Strong heavy rope, maybe not for everyone
The media could not be loaded. I have used a few heavy jump ropes before, those were around 5 pounds and provide a pretty good workout. This is similar, although it is noticeably stronger and at 7.5 lbs it is 50 percent heavier than the other heavy ropes out there. This is a next level heavy rope.My use of 5lb heavy ropes is: I jump with them for about half a minute to a full minute to get my rhythm and muscles warmed up. Then I switch to a light rope for speed for several minutes.I use this in the same way but I found it more difficult to use. I'm a middle aged average exercise user and not a competitor or athlete. This is probably more useful to serious fitness enthusiasts and athletes.Because this rope is heavy and strong, it feels more stiff than the 5lb ropes and it requires more force from the wrists to swing and rotate. If you are looking for your first heavy rope and you're a moderate or beginner, you can find a 5lb rope around the 30 dollar price range. If you are willing to shell out another hundred bucks for something more serious and hard-core, this is a durable and sturdy rope that will for sure give you a rigorous workout.

I gave it 3 because I still can’t jump it
This thing is a beast!!! Think of trying to carry 10 waterhoses around and then jumping rope!!! I tried and tried and tried!!! It’s so heavy I couldn’t even jump one time!!! It was a great workout because trying no to swing it around feels like 50 pounds. This is a definite great buy!!! Get ready to work out!!!

Heavier than others, somewhat supple
I have a lighter heavy jump rope, the Gymnastics Power Store rope, but the weight isn't the main difference. The main difference is the build. The Hyperwear one is more supple and easier on the hands, but also less rugged. The gymnastics power store one is stiffer, a bit harder on the hands (which I find more comfortable), and more rugged. As for which one works better, I can't say. They're both exhausting.

Tougher than I thought
I've been in search for a weighted jump for a while now.. I kept thinking the lower weighted ropes wouldn't give me the level of strength to build muscle so I went with this one. This rope has kicked my butt!! This will definitely give you a challenge and a good one! There is room to grow on this for sure. Highly Reccomend!

Not practical as a jump rope but lots of other uses
This rope is heavy as advertised. The quality of the rope is great and the ends are wrapped in strong vinyl grip material. The handle doesn’t rotate so it’s really not practical as a jump rope. But if your shoulder can handle the weight of the moving rope, and you’re intent to use it for jump roping you absolutely can do so and get an whole body workout. The rope itself is smooth and slick, if your grip strength is strong enough, you can definitely climb the rope, use it to do pull ups, wrap it around your body for added weight. There are endless exercises where this weighted rope would be useful. It’s price for value is steep, it’s still just a short rope. And while the quality is very good it’s just not worth $139 in my opinion.

Amazing workout
I recently received this rope and it's great quality! At 6'8" I was worried about the length but it's perfect. The weighted rope definitely kicked my butt. I've purchased two other weighted ropes in the past and this is easily the best. Definitely recommend!
