cheerfullus Double Layer Wood Lunch Containers Bento Box Portable Food Container with Elastic Band

This bento box reeked Wood Varnish. I've washed it, air-dried it and still it smelled varnish. Even if one put liners in the box to shield any food from direct contact to the wood, I am 101% sure the food will get affected by the varnish. I am just going to use the boxes (unfortunately, I bought 2) as sewing boxes or whatever that is NOT FOOD.
