I had a college graduation to attend at a large university (read "lots of walking, stairs to climb, and standing around on concrete") not long after tweaking my already bad knee to the point that I'd been limping for over a week. I needed something that would a) keep pressure on my knee cap to keep it from feeling like it was going to swim out of place if I bent my knee, b) provide some structural support for all my muscles and such around the knee, and c) would fit unobtrusively under a pair of pants. I wore it a couple or 3 more times after that while my "tweaked" knee returned to its normal level "bad knee" status, and I'm glad I have it should I need it again before getting my knee replaced. I had a college graduation to attend at a large university (read "lots of walking, stairs to climb, and standing around on concrete") not long after tweaking my already bad knee to the point that I'd been limping for over a week. I needed something that would a) keep pressure on my knee cap to keep it from feeling like it was going to swim out of place if I bent my knee, b) provide some structural support for all my muscles and such around the knee, and c) would fit unobtrusively under a pair of pants. It did the trick. I wore it a couple or 3 more times after that while my "tweaked" knee returned to its normal level "bad knee" status, and I'm glad I have it should I need it again before getting my knee replaced. The only thing that might be problematic in the long run is wearing it and sweating it in multiple times might require it be washed.
