Electric candles with realistic simulated flame
These electronic candles are powered by a double a battery which is not included. They provide a soft candlelight glow without the danger of setting your curtains or other items on fire. The candles have a base which is included and there is an on/off switch on the bottom, as well as a remote that will let you adjust the light from a distance. If you are using these candles for a romantic evening, the remote keeps you from having to get up and turn them off one by one which is something they can definitely kill the mood. The candles do a good job of simulating actual candle light and they are fairly sturdy. If you dropped one and then stepped on it, it would probably break but If you take care then these should last for a long time.I only use mine for an evening so far, so do not know how long the battery lasts but since it is LED it probably lasts a very long time. As you do not have to keep getting new ones, and lithium AA batteries are available that can be recharged this can end up saving you money. There's a timer function on the remote that lets you get these to turn off after a set amount of time. This feature lets you fall asleep without having to worry about draining the batteries completely. If you were looking for the candle light experience without the danger of actual open flame, then this is an excellent solution and is highly recommended.

There's More Power in Numbers, but is it Enough?
The candles are noticeably smaller and slimmer in person than they appear online. At first, I worried they wouldn't be substantial enough to add the moody, gothic atmosphere I had in mind. I initially bought them to illuminate my "dead shelf" — a space in my home where a few deceased family members rest in their urns. It’s a dark, low-lit area, and I wanted something to bring a soft glow and a bit more presence to their auras.Straight out of the box, the candles felt very lightweight, slender, and undeniably plastic. There’s no mistaking that they’re made without any wax or soy materials; if you’re hoping for a Victorian gothic look with rich textures, these won't deliver that level of authenticity. Honestly, they do come across as cheaply made when you’re handling them individually.Another point to consider is that you’ll need 12 batteries to operate all 12 candles at once. As anyone who's dealt with battery-operated décor knows, that can quickly get expensive, especially if you run them daily. That said, the remote control’s timer feature and dimming options are a great buffer. I have mine set to turn on in the evening for about three hours. Battery life will obviously vary based on the brand and type you use, but it might be a smart move to invest in a good set of rechargeable batteries to avoid the constant cycle of buying new ones.If you're aiming for luxury accents, these candles won't fit that vibe. However, they absolutely shine when it comes to creating ambience. The remote is super convenient, especially if you’re placing them on higher shelves or tucked into awkward nooks. Plus, because they’re plastic, they’re much more durable, a fall off a shelf won't shatter them like glass candles would. And of course, there's no fire risk, even if you forget and leave them running overnight. One thing I learned quickly is that using all 12 candles together makes a big difference. When scattered thoughtfully throughout a space, they create an adequate, soft glow that genuinely enhances a dark, mystical atmosphere. Using just one or two alone doesn’t really do them justice ; they need to work as a collective to show their true potential. In the end, I decided they weren’t the best fit for the large dead shelf as originally planned. Instead, I moved them to my guest bathroom, which also has a mystical, moody vibe. Spread out between the frames on the floating shelves, they look perfect. When placed intentionally, even though they’re made with minimal materials, these little flicker sticks really do bring some life and mystery to an otherwise dark corner.

Great for adding ambiance.
Only take 1 AA battery, these work for a long time.I love that they are different sizes, they provide lots of value over real candles for decor and adding atmosphere. I have them in some candle holders and they provide a very similar light to a real candle. The remote lets you choose brightness, and other settings. Even better, they have a 24 hour cycle on the timer function. So if you press the 4hour setting, it'll be on for 4 hours, then off for the next 20. It will repeat till the battery dies.I pair them with rechargeable batteries to make it very cost effective. Great lights.I took off 1 star because the plastic looks a little cheap, but as long as you have them in a holder like I use them, you don't notice it, you only notice the glow.
