TJUTR Men's Photochromic Sunglasses with Polarized Lens for Outdoor 100% UV Protection, Anti Glare, Reduce Eye Fatigue

Alright, so I just received these glasses today, and honestly I can say they do great on all metrics: looks, fit, and most importantly, photochromic effect. Some people say the glasses don't get dark enough; I can say emphatically that these glasses get dark enough to block out more than enough sunlight. Within 15 minutes the glasses were literally too opaque to see my eyes behind. A few things to know before you buy these:1. Photochromic effect is temperature sensitive and, unfortunately, the effect is lessened by high temperatures. This means that they work great during a cold spring or winter day, but will never be quite as dark in the summer. That may defeat the point for you if you have light-colored eyes and need the extra protection, but if your eyes are dark brown, they'll probably be enough for you anyway.2. The process starts almost immediately, but takes a minute or two for appreciable darkening of the lenses. Within a slightly longer stretch of time, the process will revert with the cessation of exposure to UV light. This time lag means you absolutely do NOT want to go into a dark tunnel with these if you are driving or biking. You absolutely will not have enough time to make out the roadway if you don't take them off beforehand. Because of this lag effect, I really don't recommend photochromic lenses for moments when you will switch between highly variable lighting conditions fast.I bought these to bike commute, as they're clear enough in the mornings to not impede vision, but will block plenty of sunlight during rides home in the summer.My only complaint is that the glasses are never totally clear; even in cloudy weather the lenses always have a slight tint. Something to be aware of.

Having returned a pair of photo-chromatic glasses that doesn’t darken, I ordered a name brand glasses as well as this pair to give a Chinese brand a second try.The Tjutr brand doesn’t disappoint. It even comes with a tiny UV light for you to test the lens with. Glasses are also polarized as advertised, and the metal frame has spring hinges as decent glasses should have.The lens darkens almost as much as the name brand ones, filtering at about 70% of light. It’s not as dark as the darkest sunglasses but it’s enough to keep my eyes comfy.My only gripe was that the glasses comes with a cloth pouch and not a case, so you’ll need to dig up an old hard case if you want to throw these in a bag. But these glasses performed very well for its price point and definitely deserve my recommendation.

I tried transition sunglasses in an outdoor store and liked the fact that they weren't very dark but dark enough for me. If they darkened up in the sun that would be a bonus. They were expensive though and I didn't get them. When I saw these the price convinced me to try them. I've been very happy with them. They are comfortable and the dark light range is fine for me as I don't need really dark sunglasses. Recommend them.

I'm a legally blind person for 20 years and so have had numerous problems with all light conditions. I've found that these Photochromic sunglasses allow me to achieve a comfort and safety level both outdoors and especially indoors like nothing else I have tried. Shopping in stores with bright lights has been a serious problem in the past, but NO MORE! The light regulating lenses are so effective that I never notice any change whatsoever, only better vision under all conditions. Thank you so much for your wonderful product. These DO change shade in sunlight, you people who say they are not photochromatic are blind or been out in the sun too long.

Cool factor is there when you where these indoors. Flossed mightily on my cruise in November. Several people asked where I got em. Nice transition from in and outdoors.

I am not one for very dark sunglasses and these will not get terribly dark. I like to keep plenty of light coming in so I can see whats around me while driving and not have to take them off stepping in and out of shops/home. These were great for me on my last camping trip where it was sunny but I was under shade trees and out on the beach. They cut the glare from the ocean and sand but then let me see in the shade at the camp site. They are thin plastic lenses which at first made me nervous but after dealing with lenses that crack at their mounting points, they are seemingly durable and flex a little instead of break. They haven't picked up any real scratches yet but I have been a bit extra careful while still in the new sunglasses honeymoon phase. I had a hard time adding the $60 other brand of photo-chromatic sunglasses to my cart so I took a chance with these at 1/3 the price. Overall very happy with them.

Los lentes ya son obscuros, no son claros como lo muestran en sus fotos, hay que quitárselos si estas bajo la sombra (la idea de unos lentes fotocromados es justamente evitar quitar y poner) . El fotocromado es mínimo y solo en condiciones de sol intenso se activa. De toda su publicidad solo la parte del polarizado es como indican... Seguiré probando pero es muy probable que pida reembolso.
