Review: Childhood favorite food is back! - Like other reviewers, this is my favorite food from childhood. It's wonderful! Pastina is a "macaroni cereal". You simmer in liquid of your choice, water, broth, milk, and when liquid cooks down, pastina has the consistency of hot cereal. No grocery stores in Phoenix carry it anymore. SO HAPPY desertcart has it. The Barilla is excellent quality, no difference from the old Ronzoni that my mom bought back in the early 1960s. I know it's a little pricey @$7.00 a box, but it's worth every penny to enjoy it again. I noticed if you purchase groceries through desertcart Fresh it's only $1.79 a box, so if you order other groceries, you'd save some money that way. Again, the Barilla is excellent quality; package was delivered in a cardboard box, and was sealed in a heavy duty plastic wrap, so no issues with package being torn and contents spilling. Great job, desertcart, I will be ordering this on a regular basis from now on.

Childhood favorite food is back!

An Italian loves it!
I grew up in an Italian household. I consider myself Italian. Pastina is how I would refer to this product. It is hard to find in stores but Amazon doesn’t let me down. It is great in soups and to have with butter and Parmesan cheese. Try it. You won’t be disappointed.

Hard to find
Pastina is a product that is very hard for me to find in local grocery stores. I was pleasantly surprised to find it on Amazon with a reasonable price. Cannot wait to make my first batch of soup as I already know the Barilla pasta brand is a very good quality brand.

Always Good
I love this pasta. It is a go-to in our house. So easy to make just a bowl for an easy dinner or throw in a soup. Love it.
