This is the only facial cleanser I've used for several years because it's very gentle on my sensitive skin - no drying or irritation, yet also does a great job of actually cleansing. It's the best at removing even eye makeup.

I generally love Neutrogena products and swear by their oil-free moisturizer for sensitive skin. I've previous used their Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser (creamy formula), but I wanted to try the foaming formula. (I'm one of those people who need soap to foam in order to think it's really working... I know it doesn't need to foam, but I can't get rid of that preconception.)Anyway, I was really surprised by the amount of fragrance in this formula which is, after all, for sensitive skin. It made my face a little red and bumpy and the fragrance made my eyes itch/burn. I guess I just assumed that it would be, more or less, a foaming version of the creamy cleanser. NOT THE CASE.I'm going to go back to the creamy formula which works beautifully for my sensitive combination skin.

This cleanser stings my face so bad! I tend to have normal skin that can get dry and wanted to find a gentle cleanser and this one made my face more dry. After applying face lotion my face started burning more.
