practical and easy to use, good battery life

Although now just over two years old, the razor has only been used a few dozen times as a backup to wet shaves. The trimmer even less so and on using it recently, the comb and blade assembly parted company from the trimmer arm. Initially thought it just needed clicking back into place but it had snapped clean off where screwed into the arm. Had been held in place by extremely thin plastic and would have expected better from Braun.Similarly to others, I was finding two or three days of growth would result in hairs being missed and others plucked to leave a mange like look no matter how many attempts were made.This did not happen with an old Remington rotary razor it had replaced which eventually died from battery failure.On recently purchasing another Remington rotary to get a trimmer back again, the following conclusions have been reached.Oscillating razors like this Braun are best for short stubble and everyday use whilst rotary razors are the more effective at dealing with longer stubble.It loses a couple of stars for the weakly designed trimmer head and gains one for the exceptional battery life between charges.

This shaver is the closest shave I have gotten from an electric shaver. Feels good on the skin but I have found it causes a little irratation on my neck but that is on a dry shave, so might try a wet shave & see what it's like. Overall a nice shaver & worth every cent. Many thanks to the seller & would highly recommend.

Really good shaver. There are other, more expensive versions of this razor but this one does the job perfectly so why spend more?

I have light growth, but like to shave daily. I've been shaving with a Merkur safety razor for years, with either Gillette or Astra blades, but wanted something that wasn't as time consuming. I was prepared to have some trade off against quality of shave, but this gives me a shave that's pretty good, and within a couple of minutes. Shaving in the shower, and with a bit of soap, it gives a mild shave; there's a little more razor burn than I'd expect from the safety razor, but it's not significant. I've had it a week and a half and the foil seems to be holding up well. As yet, I'm not sure what the point will be at which I regard it as reasonable value for money with foil replacement; up to now, I've been used to spending less than a tenner for 100 blades, which will last at least a year! I'm not sure that it would cope well with thicker or longer growth, but to be fair, I don't think it makes any claims to do so, and there are other models that are clearly better suited to this. Also, it charges quickly, and the charge seems to hold well. So, I'm going to give it a full 5- down the line, if either the battery or foil cartridge life isn't reasonable, I'll revise it downwards. If not, I'm still happy with it!

Really great smooth shave on the face but challenging to get the same in the neck. This may come with practice though so I’ll persevere. Good battery life and ergonomic to use. The small trimmer is pretty poor quality. Glad I got it on sale as full price would not have been worth it.

Bought this shaver to replace an older Braun one I had for years (it was a dry shave only)Tried this new one out and it works well,although I prefer to wet shave with it for comfort,not the closes of shaves but does the job nicely,without irritation,its good shaver overall nice and light to use. Doesn't come with a case ,but with a blade protector guard and brush, and charging lead, that plugs into a shaver socket or adaptor plug (not supplied)On the subject of the charging lead,if anyone is considering purchasing this item.I have noticed the charging pins are quite thin and although plugs into a standard UK shaver plug,the whole shaver adaptor does wobble a bit,into a UK shaver plug.I had contacted Braun support,for a product query,about thisturns out this shaver model ships with a EU type plug adaptor lead hence the thinner pins!!I have ordered a EU to UK 3pin plug adaptor, at modest cost,why this didn't ship with a UK adaptor lead,goodness knows
