Product description

Review: Just what the doctor ordered! - Got here super fast. Less than 24 hours and some of the least expensive ones I saw. Worked perfectly on my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I'd installed the "Yorkim 3157 Led Bulb Red Bright 3156" LED bulbs and the turn signals were hyperflashing, the bulbs were strobing/dim and I had no brake lights. The first one I installed didn't work, but it was just operator error. You need to give those connectors a really good squeeze to get them to connect. They do get up to around the same temperature as the halogen bulbs used to, so the fact that they're pretty compact helps a lot when you're mounting them to something metal inside the cavity the lens housing sits in. You definitely DO NOT want these in contact with plastic, worse, the wiring harness. Good idea to mount them first, then connect them. The first one I did wound up being a little awkward because I installed it too close to the socket and didn't give myself enough slack. End of the day though, I got exactly what I wanted. The brake lights/turn signals work, and they're eye-searingly bright (I ordered tinted lenses for the tail light lenses, so I wanted something that wouldn't show up too dim after I installed them)
Review: Worked Great! - These worked great. The instructions correctly said that these resistors get very hot while being used. I did not really want to drill holes into the body to mount them, so I did a test. I ran the turn signal for about 5 minutes, which is about as long as I would expect under normal use. Certainly, 4 way flashers could be much longer. The resistors did not get very hot during this test, so I simply bundled them in with the wiring. My vehicle has separate bulb filaments for brake and turn signals. A vehicle that has one filament for running lights, turn, and brake, would be continuous use and would get hotter. I am pleased with these. They worked well, are well built, and a reasonable price. They also come with the quick T-tap connector which makes installation a breeze.

## Features

- Solution for fast turn signal blinking response after installing LED light bulbs. This 6ohm resistor consumes 24W in a 12V system. If the power consumption of your stock halogen bulb is 28W and your LED bulb is 4W, the total power consumption of the resistor and LED bulb will match that of the stock halogen bulb. This alignment is necessary to eliminate the turn signal hyperflash issue.
- Not designed for consistant working bulbs( Day time running light, fog light, headlight LED bulbs). Resistors may become very hot to melt plastic parts nearby.
- Warning: Load Resistors heat up like halogen bulbs. They get really HOT when working. Mount them on metal surface by screws(not included). Keep resistors inchs away from plastic parts.
- You may connect the wires with the splice taps provided(quick but maybe not solid). Or you may cut the wires and connect them more solidly.
- Usually each LED bulb installation requires one resistor connected in parellel (see picture below for instruction)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Product does exactly what it is supposed to.
*by J***B on October 3, 2016*

I was frustrated when I bought a bunch of LED bulbs to replace my older turn signal bulbs and got the "hyper flashing". So I bought these and they resolved the hyperflashing issue. These are not particularly hard to install. The two hardest things to figure out with these: 1. Which electrical wires to splice these into (each car is different). I finally was able to figure it out by comparing the wiring colors for the turn signals on each side. Both have a black wire and then the turn signal wire is usually different on each side. I highly recommend that when you put the splices they include onto both wires, to then use pliers to push the metal tab into the wires first, and then close the snap lock piece over that once the splice is completed. 2. The purpose of these is to put more resistance into the wiring to prevent the car from thinking the low voltage use is because the bulb is out. So that gold colored resistor does that job, but as a result, can get pretty hot (like 250˚). So it really helps to mount the resistor to something metallic so it can dissipate heat better. I've seen some YouTube videos where some people mount them to a sheet of aluminum or other metal and then mount that whole assembly to plastic if they have no other option. Bottom line--these things work, and aren't really too hard to install. First one took me about 15-20 minutes to figure out. 2nd one took less than 7 minutes. I have two more to go and figure they won't take long at all either!
