You can definitely taste and see the difference in quality with this Blue Harbor albacore. Solid chunks, nice firm texture, clean flavor with no fishy aftertaste. No complaints at all. It is on the pricey side, but for some it’s worth it. I’ll keep buying when it’s on sale.

We love this tuna. Generally mild and it is salt free. The only reason I’m giving it 4 starts is that some cans contain unacceptable dark, bloody areas. Not all cans, but when it’s there, we need to pick it out. The tuna could use a little better quality control.

I'm have a lot of problems. Bad heart, no kidneys, auto-immune disease, severe arthritis in my back. I've had a triple bypass, a few operations for infections, and I'm on dialysis. What this all means for my diet is that not only must I eat healthy, but I must eat fresh, clean, quality food. If I don't, I vomit, period. All my veggies must be thoroughly washed. Fresh meat can't even be close to expiring. If you want to know if something in your fridge is starting to go bad, give me a small bite and see what happens. When it comes to tuna, the stuff from the store these days makes me sick every time. There is no doubt in my mind that canned tuna at the grocery store was much, much better when I was young. This is true of so many things now (fruit pies, anyone?) For quite awhile, I've pondered trying to find quality tuna here on Amazon, and the other day, I finally did it. I read hundreds of reviews accross multiple products, and the reviews for Blue Harbor finally won my purchase. I received my Blue Harbor early today (1 day after ordering). I immediately opened a can and what i saw in there made me smile. It looked to me like someone actually cared about what I would think! Nice white albacore filet, packed solid and looking like everything I'd want from a can of tuna. NO MUSH. Then I made a tuna salad with pickle and celery, spread it on a sandwich with iceberg lettuce, and gave it the old taste test. The reviews don't lie, folks. And the few who have negative things to say... what? This has to be the best canned albacore there is. I just can't imagine better. Thanks, Blue Harbor, for proving good canned tuna stIll exists. I honestly wondered. I will never buy any tuna other than Blue Harbor again.
