Deluxe Upper Rear Shock Mount Flag Nut Kit, fits Jeep Cherokee XJ, MADE IN THE USA

Took about a total of 30 minutes to change rear shocks with these. No reason to fight with a bolt and nut when you can buy this instead, And no reason to ever cut the floor.

Redoing rear shocks on 99xj, bought these as a just in case. Ended up not needing them, but happily adding them to the toolkit for the day I will.

Really high quality. I have a '98 and '99 Cherokee and have rebuilt almost every piece of both of them. I recently put a lift on my '98 and two of the rear shock nuts twisted off. I didn't want to mess with fishing nuts up into the recess, so went with these since they had nutserts instead of welded nuts. The passenger side went in great. The drivers side was a bear. I kept trying to work it in and it just would not go. I finally took an angle grinder and took off part the outside edge and it went right in. Overall, really high quality, just need the small mod that does not affect the overall usefulness. Maybe I just wasn't patient enough.

This is a lifesaver on a jeep XJ. Mine had worse than the usual snapped bolt on the upper shock bolts. Someone else had already had that issue and replaced the welded nuts by fishing a bolt through the hole and using a nut on the bottom side. Ever tried to loosen a rusted nut on a bolt that free spins? I had to dremel all 4 bolts out. This little item will keep that from happening again. This thing is extremely well made and comes with the bolts needed. I used antiseize just in case I ever change the shocks again but I have no doubt that it will be a piece of cake next time.

Used this when i replaced my shocks on my xj punch out the old nits slide this piece in bolt down the shock with anti seize and makes it actually easy to replace the shocks

Previous owner had just welded bolts to the body. I ground everything down and used the mounts. They worked great and super easy. I made sure to anti sieze the bolts because I think with a little corrosion and the nut serts will spin on you.

Extremely high quality. If you are asking yourself why should you pay more for a couple of nuts, the answer is that the guidance you get is top notch and the quality gives you confidence in the install.

Really nicely made. This is a much cleaner and easier fix than trying to use nuts and washers. If it helps anybody else who is installing this, note that I had to slightly decrease the bend in the handle in order to slip it into place at the driver's side.
