4wd light fixed
Originally, I ordered this part made by Dorman and it didn’t fix my light. After reading reviews and forums, I installed this Crown part and my light is working again on my 05 Jeep LJ.

Used for YJ Center Axle Disconnect
Used on a 1990 Jeep YJ that has a NP231J. As part of a CAD delete, I replaced the old vacuum switch with this one. It has the same threads and screws right in. Originally this was made for a Jeep TJ but if your removing the CAD system and want 4WD indication in your YJ dash, this is the part you want.

They sent a Dorman and not the advertised Crown that I wanted
This Dorman switch will not work well in a 1987 Jeep YJ, the ball has to me pushed in farther than the transfer case can push it. I wanted a Crown (like they were advertising) , which works better, but was sent a Dorman.

Useless design. Won't work.
The ball on this aftermarket part has to be depressed too far before the switch activates. What this means is that there is a very good chance that your transfer case will not be able to activate this switch...no matter what you do. In order to work, the ball must activate the switch with just a small amount of pressure. I ended up just cleaning up my original switch, getting it working again, and putting it back in.
