Great picture, easy setup. 100 percent recommend

4K TVs should come with a big red warning label that says “non-4K content will look like crap”. If you play some 4K demo stuff like 4K nature videos it looks awesome. Stuff not in 4K that gets up converted using Sony algorithms looks much worse than my 12 year old LG 1K. Over time I suppose this might resolve itself, but I’m currently disappointed.

The packaging on the Sony BRAVIA was very robust. Thick Styrofoam keeps TV nice and safe by protecting top, bottom, and sides of TV. There was a big piece of cardboard to protect the screen. Installing legs on TV was easy. Simply slide the legs into position until they click into place. No tools required for installation. Sony also gives users the option to modify the legs so that the TV sits taller on a stand. This can be done by taking the legs and unscrewing them so that they can be configured for a higher position. That process is clearly laid out in the quick start guide.Once you plug it in to a regular wall outlet, the setup is very simple. There is a lot of hitting “Next” and agreeing to user license agreements before you can get into Google TV. This TV can also act as a center channel speaker if you have a home theater amplifier.The remote is small and there aren’t a lot of buttons on it. It’s a black with a subtle blue paint splatter pattern going through it, but it is made out of plastic, so it doesn’t feel particularly high quality. However, it’s a very responsive remote and its Bluetooth. The Bluetooth connectivity makes it so that users do not have to point the remote directly at the TV to operate it. Extremely useful and responsive.Colors on the screen are amazingly life-like accurate. Greens and reds look really good in particular, compared to other TVs. The screen is also very sharp especially in 4k video playback. Using the TV between apps is snappy.The audio, just like most newer TVs, isn’t the best but it is nice that while going through the setup, the TV will ask to calibrate its speakers to adjust for the room that it is in. Would still recommend getting a sound bar or connecting the TV to a home theater set up to get the best sound. But it is still crisp and clear.Overall, the build quality is exceptional. It feels solid and sturdy. All of the ports are good quality and make strong connections. Very good price point at 1400 for this size, quality of build and picture quality.

I purchased this 55inch TV for my guest bedroom. This is my fourth TV in the house and the first from Sony. Compared to others, this one is superior on brightness, contrast and sound. Normally, to get good quality sound, I needed a sound bar. However, due to the built in Dolby Atmos technology, this one has quite a bang and multidimensional sound experience that I decided not to buy a sound bar. The brightness is also perfect. Even in a sunny room, the screen is very visible and the color/contrast does not suffer. The sharpness of images is also great. A real 4k experience with consistently sharp and good contrast images.The frame rate of 120hz is an industry leader. You can get away with 60hz in many occasions but for sports and gaming 120hz shows its quality.The setup was a breeze. It is very self explanatory and quickly integrated into the Google universe. I did not even need to login to all my subscription streaming services as it could manage it automatically through my Google account. The integration with Google home was also very easy.I had no wifi connectivity issues however I have to say that I have high speed mesh wifi system at home. So my setup is not the most challenging.The delivery was perfect as well. It was neatly packed and came with no dings or dents or dead pixels. The electrical cord could have been longer but this is a minor concern.In terms of functionality, it has a bunch of ports for anything from HDMI to USB. The Chromecast is built in so you do not need to buy a dongle to get into that universe. It has free channels and a jack for anthenna which you can use to quickly search for local analog and digital channels.The integration with my phone was also very easy. I can use the app to configure the TV and my phone can double as a remote as well. This is pretty standard these days.What this product excells from others is in picture quality, frame rate and most importantly the sound... This thing is a beast.I do not game at all so, I cannot talk about that aspect. However for anything else, my almost one month of hands on experience is very positive

The tv is fine but the delivery service was a total lie. The boxed tv was dumped at the front door and left. There was suppose to bring to the room of use and unbox it, didn’t happen. Sorry I bought thru Amazon!!!!

Purchased this for our guest room. The picture quality is sharp, bright, and vibrant and colors are rich without being over-saturated, and the contrast looks great even in a bright room. It’s especially good for watching movies and shows in 4K. The other TVs in our house are LG OLEDs and I would say the quality is comparable. Setup was quick and intuitive. Overall, this is a great TV for the price. It feels premium in both design and performance, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a TV and not wanting to break the bank
