Pretty PORCELAIN Butterfly Bowls
My neighbor has this Lenox Butterfly Meadow china and I have always loved it, so I jumped on ordering these sweet little bowls for myself. They are pretty, whimsical and, and small. I knew they were small, so no surprise for me. They are the perfect size for a scoop of ice cream, a bowl or yogurt, or a little snack. The design is adorable and kids love the little bugs.I ordered these quickly without reading very carefully and I was surprised that these were porcelain and not fine bone china. I believe everything I have ever owned by Lenox has been fine bone china, which is why I was surprised and slightly disappointed. The fine bone china is lighter and more durable than porcelain, but these bowls do seem fairly sturdy. I warmed up hot fudge pudding cake in them last night, in the microwave. They heated as they should and did not get too hot to handle. BTW, these hold 9oz to the top, but not really since you'll probably only want to fill to about the 7oz point.Did you notice that they come in various colors? I would also like to see them offered in a package of mixed colors. These sweet little bowls look nice with my pink floral dinnerware.

Adorable bowls
I love these bowls. We have them with the light blue and yellow inside. They are perfect for snack bowls with yogurts and such. We also use them for desserts or as dipping bowls for sauces. They are well made and painted with attention to detail. I also love the scalloped top edge. They would also be darling for a tea party or for a little girls birthday party.

Absolutely beautiful.
When you think of Lenox, you think beautiful, elegant fine china, and that is exactly what you get with this set of four butterfly meadow dessert bowls. To me they are instantly recognizable as Lenox china. There’s just nothing like it. The fine details, the glossy finish, the soft coloring—all the touches that make Lenox so distinctive. First of all let me say, they call it fine china, but the shipping box had obviously been through quite an ordeal getting to me, and these little guys survived unscathed. Not one chip or crack. The bowls are beautifully crafted, almost like cabbage leaves, with the scalloped edges. But when you look inside, you realize it’s a flower. I had a hard time capturing it in photos, but the center of the flower is in relief at the bottom of each dish. The outsides are a lovely bone color, with soft green leaves trailing down. Inside is just the perfect soft lemon yellow. And for a touch of whimsy, the outside of each dish has a single bee on one side, and a tiny ladybug on the other, as well as one ladybug who climbed inside to look around. I just love these dishes. I have them on display, but I also intend to use them. These would make a great gift for a loved one, or even just for yourself. They’re sure to be an instant treasure.

Great looking set
The size is nice, not too big and not too small. Great as a gift as well as using for guests. The design is nice and the inside is more of yellow/beige while the outside is white. It is dishwasher safe but still I wonder if the design will fade using the dishwasher.

Beautiful Lenox Bowls - Smaller Than Expected, but Correctly Described
Butterfly Meadow is my wife's absolute favorite Lenox pattern these days. If they made Butterfly Meadow t-shirts, she'd probably order three of them. The bowls are beautiful, and completely live up to anyone's expectations for Lenox design and quality. But they are a tad small.Even when the seller/manufacturer gives you dimensions on a product, I'm sure you agree sometimes you can be surprised when it arrives and is larger or smaller than you thought it would be.Bottom line, these bowls are smaller than I thought they would be, but that's not Lenox's fault. Their description is 100% accurate. But in reality, the smaller size limits how you can use them - perhaps for desserts, serving bowls for nuts, olives, snacks, etc. They're too small for cereal or soup - but again, they're not marketed for those purposes.

Oh My Gosh! Gorgeous!
This is a beautiful set of four dessert bowls. I'm in love. All of the detailing is there, even on the inside of the bowl. And Lenox is such a great brand with a generous policy for damage. I definitely would love to have more pieces to go with this set.The main thing to be aware of is that these are small bowls. It can be hard to sense the scale in the product photos, but these are not big enough to be cereal bowls (for most people). They're great for a small scoop of ice cream or a little snack. It's best to eat rich things in smaller containers so it feels like you're eating more. Plus, the cute design really makes you feel like your snack is an act of self-care. A definite mood booster!

So very cute!
This set is adorable. Dainitly painted leaves with ladybugs and chubby bees adorn the sides. The yellow inside is very light, and the stippled texture at the bottom of the bowl (mimicking the center of an Icelandic poppy or something similar) is so cute.Since it’s Lenox, there’s a replacement guarantee if a piece is broken or chipped (you’ll need to register the item beforehand), which is nice to have. These are quality bowls that’ll last to be passed down to the next generation, but they’re so cute that I wouldn’t blame you for using them daily to put a smile on your face.

Perfect for a garden tea party!
These small bowls are perfect for servings of dessert, as fruit bowls, and are great for ice cream. My daughter loves using them for tea parties! The pattern is very soft and detailed, the tiny bees and ladybugs add a perfect little touch of whimsy. They are beautifully crafted and a very nice thickness.
