シンプルで丈夫です。

密閉型、カナル型が前提となるノイキャンやワイヤレスもいいですが、気軽にＭＰ３音源を聞くのに本当にそれって必要？排他的な聞き方をしたい時もあるけど、ウォークマンヘッドホンのような開放型で装着負担が少ないヘッドホンで移動中のＢＧＭを楽しみたいと思い、数々安価なものを試しましたが音質が電話のような感じ。安いので仕方ないのかもとあきらめていたところでこれを見つけて試してみました。 ＫＯＳＳといえど中国製ですがそれらとは別物でした。 ただのレトロレプリカではないですよ。 聴けばわかります。（周波数特性：３０～１７,０００Ｈｚ インピーダンス：32Ωの表示があり）

レトロ満載のカッコ良さ＋軽くて側圧が低く＋音質が良いヘッドホンを探していました。開放型ですので、音漏れはスピーカーの如し、外では無理ですが、もちろん自室ではアリ。

前モデルの方が音も、かける心地も良かったと思います。

半日程度エージングしました。 全体的に音質が硬い。パキパキした音だと思います。人によっては出音が細いと思うかも？ 低音から高音まで出ていますが、高音が若干キツクで少々疲れます。 ただ分解能は良く、モニター的な鳴り方です。 ヘッドバンドが短い？ので、頭が大きい人には無理かと。耳の上の辺りで限界。 KOSSということなので、重低音を想像していましたが、若干のドンシャリ気味で至って普通のヘッドフォン。 音源やジャンルを選ぶかも知れません。 軽くて見た目レトロですが、音質で好き嫌いが分かれるかも。

The sound quality is very good, even if the frequency range spec says 30-17,000Hz. Light weight and comfortable. Yes, others can hear what you are listening to, like in the 80's. Best Sony's style 70's headphones I can find today. Bought this to match my newly purhcased cassette tape walkman.

I bought them for the looks hoping they sound as good as porta pro or kph40 but nah these are worse in sound.

These are Koss Retrospekt headphones and they are crucial for full Eighties nerdiness. I won’t go into the long, fairly harrowing story of how they got here, but if you want a pair it’s quickest to order them from the USA on Amazon.com (as opposed to .co.uk). The best sound quality version of these are the KPH40 but they have black ear pads, although orange ones can be bought separately, and a black headband. I had black earpads in the actual Eighties so they’re not wrong but I wanted the brushed steel headband and the orange pads. They have no microphone or volume control as headphones with these functions, such as my Bang & Olufsens, will only play in one ear when plugged into a Walkman unless the jack plug is slightly pulled out. Something about three lines vs two lines on the jack pin. But I’m just nerding aloud. Suffice to say, they are light as a feather to wear, far better quality headphones than they look and the listening experience is 100% authentic to the time, right down to the noise leak that would drive people on the bus to distraction 😎

These are really impressive for the price and design. I have a pair of old Sony MDR-005 that I wear when casually listening to my Walkman DAP around the house. These headphones sound much better. They have great range and are very clear. The bass is very full and strong while not being overwhelming. My Sony headphones are getting up in age so these will be the replacement and I am more than happy with that. I am a guy with a pretty big head and these fit comfortably, I forget I am wearing them. If you been considering these for the form and function I say go for it!
