Melts Easily....LOL
Alright, we received this, and it worked great! It feels amazing, didn't slide, and we loved it. Fast forward a month later....we go to Pony Club camp. After one of her rides, she hangs it on a stall with her saddle pad. We come back 5hrs later, and it's melted IN HALF. LOL. Note...if you're in a hot climate, DO NOT LEAVE IT OUT!! Lesson learned. It would have 5 stars had it not melted a month later. By the way, we can still technically use it, because it doesn't move at all under the saddle, but I ordered another anyway. We're in Texas. 🔥

Company does not stand behind their defective products.
For a company that says they stands behind their product so much I was not able to get much help. I originally emailed KAVALLERIE directly through their website informing them after purchasing their gel impact pad it had ripped in 3 places and began to deteriorate underneath in just 6 months. I was informed that after 3 months they can no longer do anything about the pad, but give me $10 off another. I then received a DM through facebook after commenting on a post. Again informing me nothing could be done, after getting the run around for a few days. At the price point of $94 I expected this pad to last longer than 6 months. It was always stored flat in a tack box in an air-conditioned tack room. My horses love this pad so I do believe it is a great product and that I just received a defective pad. But its obvious they do not stand behind their product after 3 months which leads me to believe they rip all to often. I will not be purchasing another pad at this price point for it to rip again and not have the company stand behind their product.

FANTASTIC PAD! We even put this pad on several ...
I ordered this pad in a quest to find something other than my $275 custom half pad that would fit my saddle and all the horses I ride. I have used this on a variety of horses from a Gypsy, TBs, and many warmbloods of various size and shape. This pad fit all of them well and my saddle never moved an inch. We have a few very wide flat backed warmbloods that my saddle would shift from side to side on but not with this pad. I loaned my pad out to a few riders in the barn to try as well and everybody had the same thoughts, FANTASTIC PAD! We even put this pad on several ponies and all the kids loved it. I have since ordered a second pad and plan to order a third. People in my barn have also ordered this pad and rave about it. We ride Hunter/Jumpers and have used it on saddles ranging in size from 15" to 18". It does show a bit under the small saddles. The care of the pad is easy, wipe it off with a damp cloth, or hose it off, even dunk it in a water bucket. My first pad has around 50 rides on it and shows no wear. The only thing that surprised me was the weight of the pad. It does weigh close to 5 pounds. Not complaining about that as it is clearly stated in the product description, I just had not read that before ordering. I hope you enjoy this half pad as much as my barn has. We all have the standard pad with no risers.

So far I really like it!
So far so good! I've only had it a few weeks, but use it almost daily. It hasn't slipped, and keeps my saddle in place as well as provides a nice cushion for my pony. He doesn't need a riser or correctional pad, so I have the all over thickness one. I use it with my Marcel Toulouse 16.5 close contact Anise saddle (sp?) Its a bit long on the sides, but I don't want to cut it so I'm fine with that. I did just do a schooling show with a contoured pad that I've only used once (gotta keep those show pads nice! lol) and I decided to put the gel pad directly on the horse with the pad over it to "hide" the excess black gel from under my saddle. During my quick day before test ride with this set up, it worked fine, however, the next day, with a 3 hour very sweaty session, the gel pad didn't move from my horses back, but the saddle pad did end up bunching up underneath the back end of my saddle, and the pad did slide forward a bit... so I recommend using it on top of the pad as is described in the description. It's held up very well so far that way with no slippage. I've accidentally dropped it in bedding, and it is pretty sticky as others have mentioned so it will pick up the hair and shavings, etc... I just dipped mine in a soapy bucket when I bathed my horse and it came clean and I layed it to air dry and feels like it did when I took it out of the package brand new again. I've gotten several compliments already on it from people at my barn, and now they want one ;-) I told them where to go! Edited after reading, forgot to mention if my saddle didn't give it away that I ride huntseat. In Florida...;-)

This is like no other pad I've ever seen
This is like no other pad I've ever seen. I bought it because my saddle was "bridging" and making my horses' back sore. I Looked at many, many built up pads before I decided on this. I didn't want anything that would have an edge where the built up part starts and ends as that would make a sore spot. I have used pads that were supposed to "stay in place" before. They would work out from under the saddle and spit out the back. I am amazed and pleased with the Kavallerie Horse Saddle Pad-Anti-Slip...It does everything it says it does. My horse moved out nicely because the saddle wasn't hurting him. We were out on the trail for 5-6 hours. Up and down mountains, gaiting, galloping, walking. This pad never moved. The service/ follow up from Kavallerie is pretty amazing too. They checked to see if I received my pad and reminded me of proper care instructions. I highly recommend the Kavallerie Horse Saddle Pad.
