Due to inclement weather conditions, I purchased the poles but did not use the full extension because they were free standing. Love them!! They have withstood severe weather and keep the lights up. Very pleased and I love the fact that at some point we will be able to use them for different purposes. Whether you rent or own, these are great for string lights.

I just received these yesterday and used them to string my bistro lights. They’re easy to assemble. Just screw each section together. I had trouble anchoring the stakes into the ground, so I just tied them to my fence post. 10’ turned out to be a good height since I was stringing the lights above my umbrella.

They hold up through wind and continue to look good. We live on the coast so salt air can break down metal. I purchased an original order a few years ago and they have not rusted. I just expanded the poles. I'm considering buying more for the back deck.

Thin pieces of metal that needs to be connected and doesn’t hold in the ground with gentle pull of the lights strings. I have a couple of these poles from 3 years ago and they’re strong metal poles compared to these pieces of junk.

These polls were a great price. After consideration I order these rather than a DIY project. It ended up being the cheaper option. They have held up during all weather (lots of rain and ice). The poles have rusted some but not terribly. Once set, the poles have stayed in place.

I bought these in July 2025 so less than a year. I keep them at my seasonal campground but I stored them in my camper over the winter time. When I tried putting them back into the ground two poles had two of the the prongs that go into the ground bust off from the weld. All I was doing was stepping on it to push it into the ground. I am not in a rocky soil area either. I would chalk it up as just a rock getting in the way but when two of them bust off that's not good. That's two out of three! Also the black paint on these became faded and rubs off on your hands after just one summertime use. I have bought other poles so I do have something to compare it with and even though those poles are the same price they were a better option. I'm not dismissing these pools completely as I'll stand by the three star review but I am telling you that there are better options.
