Great book
This is the text book we follow in my Spanish language course. Seems really good compared to other books I've used in the past

I will now have to waste precious time trying to get another CD through Amazon ...
I bought this because I am at Night School classes which use this. I am very unhappy to have paid so much and find that the CD which comes with it seems to be totally blank with not a word playing on it. I will now have to waste precious time trying to get another CD through Amazon which could have been better spent learning my Spanish.

Blank CD
Blank CD - I need the book for classes so unable to return the book but there isn't a place that I can just ask the merchant for the CD to be replaced.

Wrong CD enclosed
My tutor asked us tobuy this book and I bought it some months before we needed to use it - only then, after the returns window closed, did I find that it had the wrong CD enclosed. Still trying to find out how I can get this put right. What a nightmare!

Not latest edition
Bit disappointed as this is not the new edition and it doesn't fit with the classes. And it has been written in.

Couverture pliée 🫤
Je suis un peu désolée car la couverture de mon livre est un peu pliée, mais bon cela ne m'empêchera pas d'étudier 😉

Must Be Used with a Teacher's Manual: Not for Self-Study
This book is not intended for solo use. You're supposed to be guided through it by an instructor who is reading off of his own manual. The instructor and student manuals depend on each other, so both books need to be purchased to get anywhere. This book assumes that you're in a classroom experience, with many exercises telling you to talk with another student. This student manual also comes with a CD (I don't believe the teacher gets one). I use it for private tutoring via Skype (in which I am the student). It's written in all Spanish, which I feel makes it a poor choice for self-teaching. I'm a big fan of self-study, but in such a case, it's important to fully understand the instructions. When they're all in the language you're trying to learn, you feel like you're missing stuff. While this book will present new concepts for the A2 level, you won't understand what's going on without a teacher guiding you (with the use of his manual). It has a kind of scrapbook feel to it--many colorful little pictures and mini sections which the teacher refers you to. It's not at all the kind of textbook that explains things to you in paragraph form, then gives you some exercises. It's more like you just get a bunch of exercises which the teacher explains how to do.For in-depth grammar help, I recommend the "Practice Makes Perfect" Spanish books. There you'll find in-depth grammar explanations with English instructions (not a very easy combination to find!). That series takes a rare, detailed look at the grammar nuances that bother serious students, and which most do-it-yourself books won't address. By contrast, the manual I'm reviewing here is designed to introduce A2 concepts in a classroom setting. If you want to self-teach, this is a bad choice. If you want materials for a structured tutoring course, this can make things fun--just remember you have to secure both manuals (and make sure you get the same editions in both).
