Q: How does amazon allow fraudulent knock-offs (ok, free market) but to then be misrepresented as oem??

I know BMW is looking into the problem and supposedly Amazon is, but I can't speak for them. If you ever buy a counterfeit item on Amazon that is misrepresented, you should complain to them. Our OEM BMW valve stem products have a higher price point, but they are made in USA and we source from BMW. If you buy a BMW branded item from Detailbest, it will ALWAYS be official BMW!

Q: Does this interfere with the tpms on the 2018 m3?

I am not sure about that but they do not interfere with my 2010 750Li. From what I know the TPMS is in the rear of the wheel. The caps also have a rubber gasket inside to make a better seal.

Q: Are these in OEM packaging?

No, mine were not. Shipped from China in non-BMW packaging. They were tricky to get screwed on without damaging the threads.
