Why did you pick this product vs others?:I've only had this one week. It works fast and makes great ice. I picked this one over the fact it has self cleaning. Never owning one before I figured I needed the self cleaner.I would recommend this ice maker. The price is amazing and it was delivered on time. Should I have any issues in the future I will address them here and change my rating.

It’s very convenient for some events which I can provide ices on site. Also, my children like using it at home to have fun with friends.

I think the idea of this is terrific... a portable ice maker that you can use anywhere you have 120v power ... and it makes ice pretty quickly ... in less than 10 minutes you have enough for maybe 4 people's glasses ... but it may not really be fast enough especially if you've got a bunch of people to serve, and the compartment the ice sits in is not itself refrigerated, so you need to use it fairly swiftlyto make it speedy the ice cubes are hollow, which means they melt swiftly tooand it's pretty heavy, and the reservoir relatively smallstill, when you take all this into account it's kinda spiffy

I can't say enough about this ice machine! Not only can you make different size ice cubes but it makes them FAST! This machine also cleans itself! The value of this ice machine is unmatched! If you're in the market for an ice machine buy this one! You won't be disappointed!

We added this ice maker to our RV setup and it’s quickly become one of our favorite travel companions.Its small footprint makes it ideal for tight RV countertops. It tucks away easily when not in use and doesn’t hog precious space. The built-in handle makes it easy to move around or store between travel days.It cranks out 8 bullet-shaped cubes in as little as 6 minutes, which is perfect for cooling drinks after a hike or topping off the cooler before a day trip. With a 26 lbs/day capacity, we rarely run out...even when hosting fellow campers. I also like the ability to choose between small or large cubes. We have water bottles with smaller openings so the smaller cubes are what we primarily use.The auto-cleaning function is a lifesaver on the road. Just press a button and it does the rest. It also runs surprisingly quiet which is a big plus in a small RV space where every sound is amplified.Overall, if you’re looking for an upgrade to your travel kitchen, this ice maker is a no-brainer. It’s compact, efficient, and makes life on the road a lot more refreshing.

The function and finish are perfect for me. The unit was packed well, and parts were secured during transit. I was hesitant to use it for a couple days while the refrigerant settled, and compressor stabilized during transport because it gave me time to read the refrigerant could explode claims too many times. I can get three to four full ice bins for every water fill. Ice melts back into water reservoir to be recycled. It stops when it's full; the IR sensor beam will stop and starts up again when the IR sensor path is working again. I let it run continuously and it will always have a full bin and the ice making process gets down to four or five minutes. A full bin is suitable for four to five 5 8oz glasses of ice. With the room temp water, and I strongly suggest using a filter like zero water, it takes about eight minutes for your first batch of eight cylindrical ice nuggets to be made. Even on large ice you'll need a few cycles for that first drink. Nuggets are frozen, but barely. The noise level is very low during the freezing cycles but it's very loud when it drops them onto a tray to be mechanically shoveled into the smallish bin. With little to no freezer room to put ice cube trays, I can now free up more space for food to have on my grilling excursion for summer and my cozy mealtimes during winter. Honestly, it is nice and worth the price. Within 8 mins I had my first serving of large cubes and used them for my drink as I was walking out the door. Just make sure you wash it out occasionally to prevent mold build up and malfunction. I cleaned it before using some water and alcohol and made sure the inside was dried, ran a few cycles of water through and drained from underneath, then let the ice maker start freezing.
