My jar only had a lid on it, no seal. Is that normal? I'm concerned about consuming it.

We recently purchased this and also threw it in the trash, the seal was not attached to the jar and the tallow smelled rancid.

There is a lot of conflicting info in regards to the weight of the item. The title says 14 oz and 32 oz. One of the images says 16 oz. What is it?

Why does this need to be refrigerated after opening? I am going to make lotion and do not plan of refrigerating it.

I don’t refrigerate. It makes it way too hard and not user friendly. I have bought other brands and keep it in the cupboard. I use tallow all the time in my recipes and have never had a problem
