Pretty, Different Kind of Salt than the Usual
I grabbed this blue salt out of sheer curiosity — I mean, blue salt? That sounded way too mystical not to investigate. Turns out it’s a real thing, just kind of rare and oddly beautiful in this pale frosty way. It’s not super vibrant like the photos made it seem, but it still has that soft bluish shimmer that makes you feel like you’re seasoning your food with a little bit of magic. Texture-wise it’s chunky, so definitely something I toss in a grinder unless I’m dissolving it into a drink or broth. I did a little sleuthing and found out it’s supposed to be higher in potassium and lower in sodium, and while I'm not trying to lower my sodium, I think it'd be healthy for me to get varied types of it, especially considering my POTS and general health.Taste-wise, it’s just...salt. No wild twist there, it doesn’t scream “special” on your tongue but it definitely does the job. I’ve mostly been using it as a finishing sprinkle ground over top dishes or in broths. Price-wise, yeah, it’s a bit up there, definitely more of a gift or an occasional purchase for me.

Unique and tasty finishing salt
Really nice finishing salt for basically anything. If you have never used a finishing salt, you of course should expect to pay more for it then a typical table salt. Also more than a pink sea salt. These are meant to provide a lot of extra flavor through all of the other minerals included and potentially give a unique look as well. This blue salt is indeed quite blue - it can be hard to see on steak perhaps - but when used on lighter colored food like Cauliflower, it really can stand out and look beautiful.I've found myself intentionally holding back on the seasoning a bit when using this salt so that I can taste the nuances. It's not a crazy bold flavor - it doesn't taste like seasoned salts - but it is definitely different than a standard table salt.

I’m a Bit Skeptical
I hadn’t heard of blue salt before ordering this product. I like the idea of having a salt that has potassium and is also low in sodium. Since I hadn’t heard of this type of salt before I decided to look it up. I guess blue salt is a real thing; however, apparently it is considered to be one of the rarest salts in the world so I honestly have a hard time believing that it’s for sale on Amazon for $12.99. All in all, it seems to be good salt and a pretty color so I’m happy.

No difference in taste but fun to cook with
I ordered this blue salt because, well, I had no idea there even was such a thing. I put it in a glass spice jar and it looks pretty on the shelf. It's chunky so you'll probably want a grinder. I don't have one but my mortar and pestle work just fine to break it down into usable size. It's supposed to be higher in potassium which I appreciate.

Pretty at least
It's fine. I personally don't consider 260mg of sodium in 1/4 of a tbsp to be "low sodium" but other than that it's pretty salt.

Nice color and tastes good!
This salt is pretty coarse so you need a grinder unless you are dissolving it. The color is a blueish white with most of it being white. It is hard to determine the quality of the salt as there is little information about it. It is low in sodium but still has a salty taste to it due to the potassium. I think this might make a good drink for restoring hydration. It also is a nice looking salt for either cooking or as a finishing salt. The price is a little high for me but for those on a low sodium diet this might be very beneficial.
