Typhoo 1100 Teabags - Bag Breaking Bug
It seems that Typhoo has a problem with it's square format tea-bag machine – one of the two bags, they come in pairs, is often open and looses the tea wherever it happens to be: in the package, onto the table, onto the floor, etc. Quite a mess the first time!The tea itself is excellent, has full flavour as is to be expected from Typhoo, BUT many of the tea-bags aren't sealed, and that was somewhere in the region of 30% or maybe more in the two 1100 bags I bought!The Typhoo Tea company is at fault here for not applying Quality Assurance (QA) measures at the source. The importing company has absolutely no fault in this issue as the bags of tea-bags are sealed. In fact the importer was very helpful here and we found a suitable solution to the dilemma.My suggestion: buy the 1100 pack and be prepared to have quite a few rejects, or spend a little more and buy Typhoo Tea 160 box in which the tea-bags have the same flavour, but are circular and all correctly sealed. Packed on a different machine!The tea is definitely to be recommended, hence the four stars, one missing for the bag bug. The service from this company is also commendable.
