Easy for kids to use
We have a couple of other walkie talkie set and this one is easier for my 6 year old to use than either of those, including another toy set. The size is really good for little hands. I included a picture of the walkie talkies next to an iPhone for size. If you double tap the talk button, the handset will "call" the other handset, using a cell phone style ring. My daughter pretends she is talking on her phone using that feature. There is no volume control, only on and off. There are three channels, you can tell which channel you are on by which color light is on, either red, green, or blue. I managed to walk about 2 blocks away from home before the signal started getting some static. I am not sure what conditions they were testing these under to claim a 3 mile range. I didn't expect to even get a full 2 blocks away though, so it exceeded my expectations. These will be a lot of fun around the house or at the park.

Tiny walkies for tiny hands
These were bought as presents for kids and the first thing that would strike you is how tiny they are! I didn't expect them to be very advanced so the basic functionality works just fine for young kids. The 3 miles limit for communication was not tested but they did work well enough for the kids around the house between rooms and to out in the backyard. The kids loved them but it remains to be seen how long they will last with outdoor play and if they will break or get lost. It would have been better if there volume controls and maybe some sort of straps to put them on wrists ( similar to the Nintendo remotes) so they do not get lost or drop out the pockets or bikes without noticing.

Had High Hopes
I bought these for as a bday present for my 4yr old. I thought these would be the perfect size for him to us. When they arrived, I put batteries (each takes 3 AAA) in them and made sure they worked before I wrapped them so they would be ready to use right out of the box. When time came for my son to open his present, he was so excited!!! However, he was disappointed when they didn't work. When we replaced the batteries they worked again just fine but only for about 30 mins. They had drained the batteries in only 30 mins...that is crazy!! We replaced them one more time in hopes that perhaps they were just bad batteries but it did it again. These are such a waste of money. I would have returned them quickly, however by the time his birthday rolled around the "return window" had already closed :(

Good and easy for toddlers
Really good walkie Talkies or like my son says walking tonkies.. it has a light on CH which mean channel I think and as long as the color is the same in the other one you can hear the voice perfectly in either color , it doesn't have a volume but it's not as loud to bother anyone , it has a ringing sound to call the other walkie talkie. I recommend them it's a lot of fun for the kids even though they see each other talking , have to keep remind them to go far away to other room or upstairs to listen to each other to play ...

Cute handset!
All my son wanted was walkie talkies for his bday and he has been pleased and obsessed so far! i love how it doubles up like a cell phone. that made it ever more fun for him. Double tab for the ringer to go through. initially i was feeling the voice is not clear till i realized my son was using it with his lips almost stuck to the speaker, speaking with little distance away from the speaker fixed the issue. I hope it holds up!

They are small but the perfect size for my grandkids!
They are small but the perfect size for my grandkids! They are able to easily push the talk button. They got a good range of a coupIe blocks not the 3 miles as claimed, but that’s ok because the kids use them in our big back yard. They are simple to operate and have only a few controls which make them easy to use. They have dropped them several times and they still work perfectly. It has a ringing sound to call the other walkie talkie so its like using a phone to them. The channels are color coded making it very easy for small kids to use. It would have nice if there wrist straps so they wouldn’t misplace them.

Pretty good
Seem to work well. Got them as a gift for my 3 year old. With only three channels and them being color coded is made it easy for his siblings to keep them on the same channel. Ages 5 and 12. 3 year old has a hard time with the push and then talk concept, but that is no fault of the product. Power buttons need to be pressed and held for them to turn on and off. Power button's seem a bit touchy. If not pressed right the talkies won't power on or off. Takes a few tries sometimes. Not tested the range, but of in our home they have worked well so far.

Great bargain. Worth the money.
I bought these for my grandson's 5th birthday. They were a big hit. I like the fact that they use rechargeable batteries even though I had to buy them as an add on. He had no trouble using them. As a matter of fact, they got passed around among the guests. They are just the right size for little hands and have a good range. A great present for the price.

Impressive for a toy
This children's walkie talkie is quite impressive for a toy. I bought it for my niece and nephew, and it turns out to be a great gift. It's fun and keeps the children entertained whilst building their communication skills and imagination, rather than having their eyes glued to an iPad or tablet. The 2 walkie talkies came packaged in a box along with a small screwdriver and an instruction manual. The product takes 3 AAA batteries. It comes in an attractive colour and is a good size for children to hold. The sound quality is incredibly clear and quite loud, which makes it perfect for outdoor play. What's also great is that it offers 3 private channels the children can use, so they won't get any other interference. Fantastic toy!
