ShadyVEU Super Dark Lens Round Sunglasses UV Protection Spring Hinge Exclusive Retro 80's Migraine Shades

I was looking for very dark lenses to help me manage my frequent migraines. Unfortunately, these glasses turned out to be not for me. First, the "super dark" lens really isn't much darker than the pair of off the shelf, cheap sunglasses I already have, which was a disappointment. Second, the lens size was a bit small for me, letting an unacceptable amount of light in around the sides, and the glasses themselves stuck out too far forward, letting even MORE light in around the sides. There's no point in sunglasses that let too much light into your eyes, especially if you're using them as a result of migraines, so these glasses had to be returned.

These glasses are amazing. They are really dark, I get really bad migraines and I usually wear my sunglasses in the house because of the light, these are so dark they help really help out. I tried wearing them as my daily sunglasses, but you need to get used to them because they are so dark, I can’t drive with them on.

This sun glasses is indeed very dark. When I put it up with my Julbo Spectron 4 sun glasses (spec'ed at ~95% light filtering), this sun glasses is even darker. I expect it offers more protection in a bright day to help reduce migraine trigger. Nevertheless, I wish this sun glasses is designed a little differently and has its frame more curved to wrap my face such that less light is coming in from the side.

I got these sunglasses to help me when I'm driving or cycling when it's sunny... My eyes are very sensitive to light and I end up squinting the whole time I'm out in the sun, even with conventional sunglasses. These are indeed DARK and really do a good job shielding my eyes on sunny days. They a sooooo much darker than the ones you find out on racks at the store and pretty good price as well. (I ordered 3 different pairs hoping to get one that would work - one of the others was too light and the other one was so dark you couldn't see to walk around).

They’re okay for cheap sunglasses, but not “super dark”. I was looking for something to help with migraines, these aren’t it. The matte finish rubs off with sweat like others have stated.

These are definitely darker than standard shades, however the overall design allows unfiltered light to get in from the sides. If you are light sensitive or looking for migraine relief, a wraparound style might be more effective. Great hinge design, good quality overall.

For the price, I really wasn't expecting much I just wanted a backup pair for the car. But these have quickly become my favorite.. even over my expensive ones. They are super light, so they don't leave the marks on the bridge of my nose and they are so dark, the afternoon sun doesn't bother me while driving anymore! I love them!

I know that these glasses are somewhat cheap. However, after receiving them they turned out to be a really good pair of what I would consider cheapos. I mean they are only $11. I think I got my money's worth here. The glasses are really dark so if you have light sensitivity they do the trick.......for the most part. Now, they do have one design flaw. The glasses are RayBan style. So the sides are wide open for light to gleam in. So if you are looking for full coverage, these are not for you. For me, they work. They are sufficiently dark enough and then some for when I am driving. light can be a problem but it is easily remedied by adjusting my visor. All in all, not bad for $11. Would def. buy them again.
