This is the most awesome edible gold paint! I’ve never used edible paint on a cake, so this was a new experience for me. I read through the reviews and was confident that the product was as good as many people were claiming- they were right! I bought this product to paint on a cake I was making for my daughter’s 21st birthday, so I wanted her cake to be extra special ! The pot of gold was a lot smaller than expected, although, I suspect that it would last for several uses. I used lemon extract as my liquid of choice and was able to figure out a consistency good for the hearts I was making. You do need to work quickly; I found that the gold, once mixed with the extract, only stays « liquidy » for a few minutes...then I had to add more extract to liquify and then more gold dust to get it back to the color and consistency I wanted. The color comes out a shimmery gold. And according to how much extract you use, you can control the « opaqueness » of the gold paint. So the « sheereness » is up to you. The thickness is that of liquid, because if you add too much gold powder, it becomes too thick to act like paint. I was so impressed. I would definitely recommend this product, hands down!

Great, you just need alot of it. Tiny tiny jar. The size of a quarter. But definitely good quality.

I've been a professional pastry chef for the past 6 years and have worked with multiply brands of Gold Luster for Cakes/Pastries. Now that I am pivoting to my own business, it's been hard trying to source the same quality of ingredients and decors I was blessed with in past jobs. So far this is my favorite gold luster I've found online, the only downside, is the size/price. For a home baker, this is a REALLY good product to start with, but depending on how much volume your business does, you might want to try and source a similar quality + larger quantity item. I made 3, 3-layer 8x5 cakes in the past week and only used this product for accent art and it's almost all gone. Again, REALLY good product here, but it would be better if they offered a wholesale option

I loved how easy it was to work with. A little darker than what I expected for gold but still worked out great.

Pretty good, I mixed it with two drops of vodka and it made a metallic gold

I mixed a little of the gold with vanilla extract and brushed it on to the icing of my cookies and it looked amazing! The gold powder went a lot further than I expected it to so it was a better value for the money than I originally thought it would be. I won’t buy it again
