excellent but expensive
Excellent tool, iused it to level end grain 50 year old oak railway sleepers, it probably ate 1 m of that before it died. As it is 50 times more than flapper pads it is not a cheap option for the use I needed but did a Excellent job. When new it is very brutal so go slow, I will buy again for other tasks.

Makes the job quick and easy
I made a number (16) of serving platters (30cm x 40cm) from a hardwood called Iroko. The top serving face needed to be scolloped out to a depth of about 13mm in he middle with a nice slope out to the four edges. This tool not only did the job quickly and easily, it remained, and still remains sharp. I also found that by just ‘tickling’ the surface you could get a finish that was good enough to sand without leaving tell tale tooth grooves. A truly great tool for me.I Highly recommend this tool and have since bought the fine grade one to make things even quicker on finishing in prep for Tung oil.

Fantastic wood removal capability.
Wanted one of these for ages and finally decided to spend the money. I wish I had purchased one months ago as it makes light work of wood removal. I have a big piece of yew that I have been carving and it is as hard as nails. This disc removed the wood so easily and didn't clog. I used the medium disc but because it is so good I need the finer disc for the lighter finish. Highly recommended for anyone who works or carves larger pieces of wood.

Efficient and fast wood removal
Excellent piece of kit. Used immediately to shape soft wood with perfect results. No idea yet of its longevity but so far very impressed. I bought the medium disc which it really fast at removing wood, the skill is getting used to using it as it’s easy to remove to much

Interesting tool
Interesting tool. Managed to gouge out a piece of walnut into a kind of bowl in a few minutes. Easy to control so fairly safe. Shame they’re on the expensive side otherwise I’d probably get another one in a different grade.

Very handy
Once you have mastered how much material it can take off the disc is a very good tool to have in your tool box.

Brilliant shaping disc.
Easy to use, can really remove a lot of wood quick but also can be used to do finer work. Brilliant for shaping.

It does exactly what it says on the tin.
I've only used this once but it does exactly what it says on the tin.

Fine sanding
Works well for fine detail sanding but the more aggressive ones are more useful all around and leave just as good of a surface finish.

Pricey, but works well
I bought this to use for horse hoof trimming of hard, desert-dry hooves. It works so much much better than the grit disks I had been using and this disk should last a long time, I hope. It looks like very high quality and has a good amount of weight to it, which adds to the weight of the grinder, but makes up for it how quickly and accurately it removes horn. I will never have to use a rasp again... The horses like it too, much more comfortable for them than using hand tools.
