Brought these on a half marathon

I’m training for a half marathon and took this on my 8 mile run. Tasted like honey. I really enjoyed it

In my head it sounded good. But it’s sooooo much honey. It made my throat feel dry and almost raw. It’s like eating an ounce of honey and not in a good way. It also didn’t give me the energy I was looking for it felt like an anxious up and down heart beat that lasted on an off for hours.

Taste is good

It is a single pouch, not a pack of 24. The description is wrong/misleading. Not that anyone would expect 24 for $2 but someone might fall for it.

We have used both a different brand of energy gels and pure honey as a quick source of energy before running and swimming events in the past so I thought we would give this brand of energy gels a try. They add electrolytes and vitamins to the honey so it seems like honey+.The taste was good and it performed as well as honey or other energy gels we’ve used. The pouch is very convenient and did not seem difficult to open. Overall this is a good source of fuel which lasts about 30 minutes or so.

Tastes great and is thinner, so it goes down more easily than similar other gels. Its thinness is especially great for later miles when you're more tired and possibly breathing harder; it doesn't make you feel like you're choking.
