Does the job and a great value for the equipment.
I ordered this digger with the 6" and 10" augers. This digger was significantly easier to use that other diggers I have used in the past. It easily bore through packed earth and cut through thumb sized roots. Well made and the instruction manual was in legible english and the only question I had was could it be started horizontally. Nicely made and performed perfectly and easily and quickly bored holes. It bored a hole the whole length of the auger in under a minute where as using a manual post hole digger would easily taken 10-15 minutes and used very little fuel. Great buy!

It did the job!
I decided to build a deck and I bought this, with a 12" auger, to drill the pillar holes. I went 28" deep. I'd never used an auger before. The unit came in two boxes, the one with the auger in it was destroyed and was repacked by FedEx somewhere along the way. But, the auger was fine. It's very substantial, made of very thick steel, so I can see why the box was trashed. The engine came a day later in good shape. There is a mixing bottle included, so you can measure the gas and the 2-stroke oil to the correct ratio. The manual says 30:1 gas/oil. Customer service said 25:1 is recommended. The oil I purchased said 50:1... I went 30:1. Separately I purchased a small level that I taped to the top, so that I could keep checking if I was drilling vertical. When the motor is running that's shaking all over, but when stopped it let me check if I was still on line. I had no issues, other than the mixing bottle. When capped and shook, the cap leaks everywhere, so fill only half way, wear gloves, and shake only enough to mix. I complained to customer support about this. The auger pins to the shaft of the engine. The fit is kind of loose; not a tight fit. It started fine, ran fine. I'm 6'3" no weakling, and if you jam into a rock or go sideways in the hole so that it digs in, IT WILL RIP THE UNIT OUT of your hands and spin it before it comes to a stop. So, be careful. With a 12" auger there's a lot of torque. Plunge slowly and brace your arms against your body. My soil was mostly sandy/clay and it didn't have issues cutting through it, though the clay sticks and you have to lift the unit up to clean off the auger several times. But you will be doing a lot of sweating. As you get deeper in the hole and you're bent over, it's increasingly more difficult to resist the torque. I was getting down on my knees to brace better. At 28" depth, the bottom of the motor is just a few inches above ground level. An extension, is probably a good idea, especially if you're going deeper. If you're using 12" concrete forms, they are not all 12 inches, so some will not fit into the holes. You have to use a manual post digger to enlarge the hole. I also opened up some of the holes by lowering the auger in, and while running, scraping it up and down the sides. It's tricky, because if it grabs, it's a sudden grab and again, hard to resist the torque. Anyway, I got my eight holes drilled and my concrete poured. I'll be drilling two more holes for the stair supports. And I'll try using it to drill some holes for planting trees. Overall I'm satisfied. It did the job. Good deal.

Very nice seller customer service. Auger works well
I originally gave this product a bad review. I was wrong, and I apologize to the seller and the manufacturer. Yes starting the engine was temperamental at first, but the more I tried it, the easier it started. I lease a property 5 hours away and I needed to dig postholes. Today the engine started on 2nd pull and worked great. I want to thank the sellers good communication, they wrote a nice , informative email and offered a full refund and free return shipping. They 100% wanted my satisfaction. Luckily I kept with this auger and it worked out just fine. I’m a satisfied customer.

This Product is for a strong armed user!
Got this auger to set 35 - 4x6 fence post and it got the job done. This Auger is worth the money. Easy to set up and change auger sizes, can also add extension rods. I went 36 inches depth and did not need any extensions (the augers are 36" in length plus the shaft is about 6 inches). I read the reviews about making sure you add grease via the fittings on the gear shaft so these reviews saved me. (The gear shaft is completely empty of grease on arrival, it was about 20 pumps each grease fitting). Cheaper than harbor freight and it ran perfectly through Florida/ Georgia Clay, small roots, and some rocks. This Product is for a strong armed user! If you hit a big root with the engine purring, the auger will stop and the motor head will keep spinning with you attached. Has been used a total of 4 times, starts, runs and works as it should. Also note, this motor runs on 30:1 fuel mix. The Shut off switch quit working on my motor but no big deal just open on the choke and it will stall the motor.

I like it.
Best money I’ve spent. I’ve done 30 holes so far and it’s started and worked every time. Has enough power to pull your arms off when you hit a root or rock. It’s definitely not professional grade, but it’s fine for a home project.

It took a bit to get it started but once I got it started it work good. It will kick back if it comes across rocks. But no complaints on it so far.

Product received within 2 weeks. Seller was very accommodating to customize the order. It deserves 5 stars for delivery and customer service. Pending to run the unit and see how well will operate. It seems pretty good manufactured. Booklet should have a schematic to identify location of different levers and their position. Check bolts and nuts before operation and after the first 30minutes of run. Some bolts are not very tight, neither lock washers or locking paint was utilized.

I am going to try and contact the company to send me another post hole digger. After drilling three holes, my son who is a strapping 6’ 5’ and 220 lbs was operating the digger for the fourth hole and was attempting to increase the RPMs when the throttle stuck open and after pushing the kill button, the digger went crazy and started flipping around on the ground snapping org the gas tank, kill switch and bending other items on the digger. When he finally got it stopped, he stated that he had injured his ankle and leg which started to swell up and later bruised up badly. So I would like the company to replace the digger soonest. Thank you Gerald Taylor
