Retro Stewardess Costume

This is one of the best costumes I've purchased. As an amateur actress in local theatre playing a flight attendant, when I wore it to dress rehearsel -- it was the bomb! Smiles and faces lit up -- it was so fun. Costume is good quality for the price - nice fabric and good seams. I had no problem with the hat / cap and I have very very thick hair. Just pin it on and go! I purchased satin white gloves that totally made the outfit. Spray painted a pair of shoes white for a complete look to save $$$.The costume is extremely comfortable, also. Depending on your height / weight, it could be a little short. I ordered two sizes and the larger size was longer, just because it fit looser around the waistline. The tighter the size, more the skirt rises up. Only small issue as others stated is the collar. All I did was press it down using a pillow case over the fabric, and a little steam in the iron and it's fine. It shows the threading, so you have to fold the inside of the collar just right, then press to hide the seam.I also purchased a matching colored lace cami to go straight across the bustline because it was a little low cut for me. Other than that, it's adorable overall and a bit hit.Returning the size I didn't need was a snap. They refund your money right now as long as you agree to send the package back within a day or two.Love this. One of my favorite purchases of hundreds on Amazon.

Very sexy little costume. Runs a little small, order a size up. It is stretchy but very short and snug . Normally wear a small but returned for a medium and it was perfect. My husband was the pilot and myself the stewardess. Had so many compliments on our costumes. Great couple costumes! I love it

Cute costume, but runs SMALL!I ordered a size small and based on the reviews, I was thinking it was gonna be a little big on me. I am 5’4, 100 pounds and it fits perfectly.Would have liked it a bit bigger, but it fits like a glove and definitely looks cute.

Overall nice design although the fabric is a cheap polyester and the outfit can do with substantial redesign.I sent it for tailoring because I wanted it to be two pieces with the buttons being functional rather than decorative.After the tailor got through with it,. I really liked the blouse. The skirt, to which was added a zipper, in the back I amless enamored with owing to the way the fabric is cut. There is a side vent (which is supposed to be visible from theleft front of the outfit) where there is a seam and another seam is visible in the front; that latter should have been at theside and there is another seam in the back; unfortunately, the tailor did not allign the zipper with that seam. Even hadhe done so, the front seam would be smack dab in front center. Rather, the original skirt part of the outfit should havehad asingle seam running on the side. (A second seam, if any, should only have visible from the other side.) Anyhow,if not to much attention is paid to the seams, it appears to look pretty good after the surgery. Let's see how therecpient likes the outfit in a few days)) I am confident that the skirt will fit well (circumference 74cm for a costume of size M)with it sitting between the small of the waist (63cm) and where low rise jeans sit (81cm). Seems roomy enough in theblouse area for a 36C.LIked the blue color a lot. Matches the photo. I really like the white trim also.Accessories are not great. The pin-on wing lapel for the collar is a cheap plastic. Should have been metal.The bag is also chinzy. Just fabric - hardly even worthy of being called a bag!Bought white gloves and blue high-heeled shoes to match the costume. (Together cost 50%more than the costume!)Can hardly wait to see the complete outfit on my stewardess)) However,I would rather have paid double for a well-designed quality costume.At the price of $24, nonetheless, I cannot complain too much.

This costume was super cute!! Fit perfectly and very comfortabe. I got so MANY compliments on this!!!!!Its actually is a one-piece dress. It runs small so i bought a large and it fit perfectly . I am 5’2 130 lbs

Supper cute costume

I wasn't expecting high quality for a low cost halloween costume, but I was still disappointed by the poor quality and construction of this costume. The collar is gigantic and comical looking, and it flaps out so that you can see the interior seams, which makes it look cheap. The neck line is also much lower than it looks in the picture, although this may just be the way it fits on me. Also, it's hard to see in the picture, but there is a slit on one side of the already short skirt. I wasn't trying to use Halloween as an excuse to show some skin, so this just wasn't the costume for me.I agree with others that it runs a little small. I usually wear a size 6-8 and ordered a Large based on other reviews, and it was definitely the right size for me.

So, I ordered a large as I normally can fit into a medium size. I read on other reviews that this is a one piece dress and has some stretch. The top portion was great! Fit was good on top. My issue was the bottom half. It is bloody too short! Like it just covers my butt. Granted I'm very curvy. Got hips and thighs. So...when I walk the skirt portion rides up as there is no elastic backing on the inside to help it not ride up. I fit a 10/12 on top and a 12-14 for the bottom. I'm also 5'1, 34B and 160lbs. If that helps anyone trying to figure out sizing.Too bad as I liked the material - not too thick nor too thin. All pieces accounted for - Outfit dress, Hat, 2 pins, Velcro tie and best off all the matching bag. This does not come with shoes or gloves.Even if I had the option to purchase the XL it would still be short on the bottom and most probably loose on top. I'm sure on some other figures it would work, it just did not work for my curvy body.Oh well!
