Just Jessie: My Guide to Love, Life, Family, and Food

This is such a fun, easy read with great tips and delicious recipes!

I have always loved Jessie James Decker from when I first listened to her song “Boys in the Summer” and when her TV show aired, “Eric & Jessie.” So when I heard she was releasing an Autobiography I was thrilled. This book is a great read because there are so many elements to it. She talks about her life when she was younger, relationships, her career, family, fashion, food, and so much more! I love to hear all her great advice, and listen to her own experiences and how she was able to accomplish everything that she has. It’s not the classic format of a book, but it is still lengthy and full of content which I really love, and it matches her personality perfectly. It is the perfect combination of fun and light-hearted, but still having real life incorporated and she allows herself to be vulnerable and share with everyone her not-so fun time. I really loved this book and would be very interested in purchasing her second book if she happens to write another!

This book is totally for people that are already fans. Not sure why that isn’t clear for some of you. Jessie included fans in the process of making this book. She asked what they wanted to know, which recipes, questions they had and stories they wanted to hear. She delivered!! Love it ! As some have pointed out , the writing isn’t amazingly polished and overly-edited (which is refreshing and makes for an easy, fun read.) She’s not a professional author, she’s a music artist. You get insight into her everyday life and hear the journey it’s taken to get her where she’s at . It felt like you’re a close friend or family member getting the inside scoop from a friend. Fans asked for recipes( yes not every single family recipe is going to be the most unique thing you’ve ever seen as there are only so many ways you can add variation to enchiladas or chocolate chip cookies... relax) She gave her fans what they wanted. Great book, love the personal stories and pics, not many let you in on the nitty gritty deats of their lives , which were very raw and vulnerable. Exactly why she’s so dearly loved by her fans.

I personally am a fan of Jessie and her whole family. That being said, I'd recommend this book to any woman. She gives so many different ways to approach life and look at it differently and positively. She gives delicious recipes, love and family advice, beauty, home decor, and a whole lot of herself. I typically have a hard time getting into books with a wild 2 year old running around and a house and work to take care of but I can honestly say that after each page I read I felt better and more encouraged.

Really really really wanted to love this. I’ve been a long time fan and was super excited for this book and most importantly the recipes. Most of the recipes have already been shared by Jessie on social media so they weren’t anything new or special. I did however love her realness and felt that she didn’t hold anything back in her story telling. Her relationship with her mom was probably my favorite part. I was hoping to go to a meet and greet and get it signed only to find out that you have to purchase the book in store the day of to meet and greet her. Still a fan though but was just expecting a little more from the book than what she gave us.

This was exactly what I was looking for! this living and loving book was exactly the message I wanted to give to my dear friends daughter in law, she doesn't get along with her mother in law and I feel so bad my friend does not have it in her heart to accept and love her son's wife and I think she is adorable so I have taken it on to encourage her and love her in silence. This book is everything the right message for a young mom with three children who forget sometimes who she is in the struggle to "make it all work" I sent it off today and know she will love it. I sent her a few pictures and we talked about taking time for her and how being every woman isn't important but doing the best she can is.

I can’t believe how many negative comments I have read. All the haters out there need to look inward and really find out why you’re being so negative. I found her book to be very light and easy to read. For goodness sakes she’s not a writer! It’s a biography, not Hamlet! Women are supposed to empower each other right? So then quit the hating! I think Jessie is fabulous and that is one of the reasons we all admire her. If all you keyboard warriors think this low of her, then why did you purchase the book? Also the hating on her recipes is ridiculous! She’s a home cook not f-ing Ina Garten lol. Love the book Jessie! It’s a must buy for her real fans!

I have been dying to try Jessie's Chocolate Chip Cookies and now I can finally make them! There are a lot of other dishes including her famous Gumbo that I cannot wait to try. I love the sweet love story she writes about her and Eric and advice she gives on how to keep a relationship alive! She is so real and honest in what she writes! I highly reccomend a copy for yourself and all of your girlfriends!!

I loved this book so much! Jessie is such a down to earth bad ass mama!!! I hope she comes out with another book or cookbook! I no joke read this book in 2 days! Could not put it down!

Love this book! It’s beautifully written and has lovely pictures.

Great read for women of all ages! Amazing advice for the youngins, and mom-advice for the new moms out there! Recipes for everyone! If you love Jessie just as much as I do then you'll love this book :)

It's a nice book but she could have gone deeper on some topics. I need to try these recipes now.
