These treats are our dogs favorites
These are so much fun for the dogs, and they generally last them for quite some time!

Keeps our pup busy
These seemed expensive for what you get. But our 9 month old Yorkie chews on these things about every day. One stick will literally last him a couple weeks. We call it his chewie stick, and every evening when he starts to get tired and restless like a kid who doesn't want to go to bed, he'll usually find his chewie stick and chew on it for a bit. It's very firm like a piece of plastic, and doesn't get gooey like bully sticks and some other long lasting snacks. Only negative is sometimes it breaks in a couple pieces and then they are too small for him to hold it and chew it, like 1" long. So we end up throwing it away. But they keep him interested and we will definitely buy more.

Great treats for aggressive chewers
My dogs love these! They are aggressive chewers and they keep them occupied for hours. Once they chew them down, the little bit that is left can be soaked in water and microwaved for another great treat!

Update of initial review
Initially wrote 1-star review. Bought 3 bags, 2 of the bags had white mold and color was concerning. Due to no return policy on Amazon, reached out to Native Pet through their official website via email. Customer service was quick to respond and helpful. The company sent 2 new bags for free (product was free of mold and color wasn’t too concerning). While their customer service was excellent, the product quality is still fairly poor - one chew was half the size of another. Overall, will not buy yak chews again from this company, but appreciate their customer service. I do recommend their pumpkin powder topper though

YAK CHEWS
my furr babies love these!! I give them about two a month. These last me about 4-5 months. It keeps them entertained and out of trouble from chewing other stuff around the house.

Portable, no smell, keeps my dog busy
I started buying these for my dog a few years ago at the recommendation of the guide dog school trainer. They are fantastic! They are hard and almost seem like a bone, but they have no smell and are nice and dry and not greasy. They are easy for me to put in a bag and take with me if I need to keep my dog busy or quiet while I am doing something else, such as when I take my dog to a restaurant or speaking engagement as he can be kind of high energy. My guide dog is a yellow lab and weighs about 70 pounds. I keep the small ones handy, and it takes him about 15 up to 30 minutes to finish it. The larger sizes are good if you need something that will last longer. These have been absolutely a great resource for my dog and I highly recommend them!

Cracked and dangerous
I was upset because I googled a bunch of reviews about different yak chews.. I had used the original Himalayan chews in that bright yellow bag and my dog loved them.. they also were able to be chewed down without splintering or cracking off. I wanted to try other brands to see if there was something better and I saw good google reviews on this product. But this brand is extremely dry and hard so the second my dog started chewing I heard cracking and splintering and then it caused him to vomit pieces of the chews in the morning. They did not digest like it says they would. There had been 10 hours between his last time chewing them and I could still recognize chunks and splinters of the chew. Hopefully it doesn’t injure his stomach because they were like quarter sized chunks or hard cheese. He even tried to chew a piece he threw up before I could get him away and I could hear the snapping and cracking of the piece.. So it was a complete waste of money.. I have been able to soak the chew in very hot water for 10-20 minutes and then I’ll give it to him for a little bit and then once he gets past the soft parts, it starts cracking again. Sucks that these are pretty expense and it’s such a hassle to use.. they are dangerous so I’m not going to give them to him anymore. Just ordered the original brand and then I might also try the EcoKind sticks too because they had good reviews. I would not recommend these one though.

A bit disappointed in our most recent order.
**update 11/15** Native Pet reached out directly and offered a full refund. I appreciate that they took my feedback seriously and took steps to resolve the issue. We love Native Pet and have gotten several other products that our pup not only enjoyed but also all did what they say they do. Native Pet does make high quality goods for pets and we will continue to be customers. I did not enjoy writing my 3 star review but I wanted to make sure that the brand that we love was aware we didn’t get what we were expecting for the first time in over a year of purchasing. I’m upping my review to 4 stars, but please know that these yak chews are seriously amazing if you can ensure you get the right size for your dog!!—Prior review—Before our most recent order I would have given these 5 stars. We have been buying these yak chews since we adopted our rescue girl in July 2022. These are by far the best “bones” we have been able to find since they are fully edible and can transform into crunchy treats when they get to the end of their life, and they do not upset our baby’s tummy. We love these and have the 3 pack on auto ship. However, our most recent order received on 11/9 is a disappointment. We originally bought the medium chews when we first got our dog because she is medium sized and 45-50lbs, but she turned out to be a big chewer. The medium were too small for her and she was able to bite off large chunks and go through them too fast. We switched to the large which have always been thicker and just a little bit longer so she went through them a little slower and couldn’t get as many big chunks off.Our 11/9 order contained what appears to be the same size as the medium chews, which we don’t get anymore for the reasons stated above. I added a photo of what we received next to pieces left from our prior order. You can clearly see the pieces from the prior order are thicker (circled in green). I didn’t spend $28 to get medium sized yak chews. I understand they can all be slightly different sizes even within the same package, and we sometimes get thicker/thinner/darker/lighter chews, but these are just very SMALL compared to the other large chews we’ve received over the past year. It seems strange that I would suddenly need to start purchasing the extra large chews to get the same substantial size as the large ones I was getting before, unless there’s been a change in the product design itself.I really hate leaving negative reviews. I prefer to only leave reviews when I have a great experience because I think it’s important to share those things rather than complain. If I really have an issue, I usually reach out to the seller if I can. In this case, I can’t find a way to contact the seller to ask if there was a change in the product or if this was an error but I guess I can go through an Amazon customer service rep if needed. This product can’t be returned which is typical of food-like items, but I would like to know why this order seems so inconsistent from what we’ve gotten in the past.

Too hard for the dog to chew
It is too hard for the dog, no smell to attract the dog too. Useless.
