It took a little bit of trying to Nestle all of the components back under the plastic cover, but it works. I snipped two of the plastic bars on the bottom of the driver's side cover to allow the plug to snake through to power the dash cam (see pic). I've probably purchased 10 Dongar connectors over the years for various cars and various friends cars that I gifted dash cams. They make things SO easy compared to back in the day when I would tap into the wiring of the rear view mirror. I'm going to guess that this works for all of the BMWs with powered mirrors in this "generation" of design, which seems to be 2014-2018, but do your own homework. Mine is a 2017 F26 X4 M40i. Review: Works great on VW Tiguan Allspace 2021 and VW Sharan 2022 - It's not advertised as compatible with VW so I was not sure, but all the other options would have arrived too late so I gambled, and it works great. I even managed to tuck the step down regulator behind the plastic trim, after some thought, so that all that is sticking out is a short USB C cable. It is on all the time, not ignition controlled, but in parking mode on my dashcam this is fine. I do not know if I used keyways 1 or 2 because they aren't labelled, I used the black cables not the pink/purple and blue. Update: I have also fitted one to my Dads VW Sharan 2022 and it also works perfectly there, it is also always on (not ignition switched) but his nextbase camera operates fine in parking mode with that setup.
