Fermentation
I didn't use this for brewing but for use in a lab as a microsparger, it works well and seems to autoclave just fine.

Very fine grained - works well with a cheap aquarium pump
I too got this for wort aeration. Initially dubious whether it would work with a cheap aquarium air pump: it's much finer grained than a normal airstone, and needs a higher pressure. Having hooked it up I wasn't sure there was any air coming out, but putting it in a glass of water soon proved that all was working fine.

I accidentally threw my last SS stone away but actually glad as this stone produces really fine bubbles.
