Is there any way you can use it with your computer?

If there is a way to use it with your computer, I haven't figured it out yet. Unless you already have an older cable that will connect to this cable, but other than that, no. You can't just use it from your computer to the iPod.

Does it have a remote or can you use one with it?

No remote. On my model there is no place for a remote. You can actually buy a blue tooth adapter that plugs into the ipod dock and you can use your phone or other blue tooth device as a remote. Search for blue tooth 30 pin dock adapter. Price as low as 13 bucks.

compatible with iphone 4s?

I don't own an iPhone 4S, but I'm pretty sure it is compatible. I mean it uses a 30-pin plug in which is what the iPhone has. I can't think of a reason as to why it wouldn't be compatible! Hope this helps. :)

compatible with iphone 5s

No it is not :( I had to get a wireless jbl flip for my iPhone 5 and I love that and this works great for my iPod 4th generation
