The adjustment for fine to course is very difficult without disassembling the entire grinder from the crank down to the adjusting device. I bought this to grind flax seeds. I can not imagine that it could grind coffee beans to the espresso level of fineness. If you are looking for a piece of art décor for your kitchen, this would be nice. On October 31, 2019 I bought this for $35 dollars. Today I am writing this review looking at a price of $89 dollars. This is Monday Nov 4, 2019. I guess one of Trump's tariffs must of kicked in. Search will before you buy. I find this grinder to be useless. I will put it up on top of my kitchen cabinets and call it a decoration. Not worth my time to send back. Oh, and the directions, ?, what there were. Were totally useless.
