What a treat.!! I found these wonderful hard candies when I was stationed overseas and was thrilled when I found them again on Amazon! They last long,are FULL of fresh pear flavor. Like right off the tree. You should try them!!!!!

Duchess-ey, but not exactly...
In case you didn't realize, it's not supposed to taste like pears you buy at the grocery store. The idea was to replicate the taste of a Soviet era carbonated drink named "Duchess". And once the USSR fell apart, a lot of popular old recipes got either lost, or stuck in a patent limbo, so this is not an exact replica of the Cold War era flavoring.Close enough though, I'll give it 4 out of 5.
