I am highly impressed with this little thing. When I first opened the box I thought (“wth is this thing, I’m definitely returning this”)partly my fault for not reading the description, I saw the hoonicorn and bought it. First thing I did was swap the hard plastic tires for the rubber ones, the hard plastic are pointless and worthless. This matchbox sized drift car had me stunned with how fast it actually is. Let me tell you it will keep up with some 1:24 and 1:18 scale rc’s. I love this little guy. I want to buy more but with other bodies and set up a little course and let us adults be kids again.. haha.. no but seriously it’s worth the purchase plus it gets a heck of a play time on a single charge. I had it going for at least 20-30 minutes before it started to get sluggish. And when the battery dies it dies. Car stops dead in its tracks.

My son picked this out as a Father’s Day gift, and he was so excited to give it to his dad. It turned out to be a hit with both of them! While my son may have ended up playing with it more, they had a great time enjoying it together. The RC car itself is excellent—fast, responsive, and durable. A perfect gift that brought lots of smiles and shared fun!

This review is for the Mini RC Drift Car (Color: Black), which is sold by NBJIALIN. This car is impressively small, measuring between 4 and 5 inches in length, and incredibly, it features AWD, working lights, and, most importantly, digital proportional steering and throttle. The variant I picked is modeled after the Hoonicorn, which is AWD in real life. The car is quite zippy, but since it's set up for drifting with hard plastic tires, it isn't able to actually reach the advertised 15kph. For most intents and purposes, the motor is powerful, and the controls are sensitive enough for skillful driving on smooth surfaces, which is very impressive considering the $37 price tag at the time of review. The car can be charged via USB-C, but the remote requires four AAA batteries (not included). I like how the remote can limit the car's top speed, and the inclusion of several traffic cones was a nice touch. The kit also came with rubber tires, but they were not easy to install and had clearance issues. All in all, this is an impressive toy. While the box has a recommended age of 14+, I think it's much too conservative. 8+ is more than enough, as long as the user understands this car is not designed to withstand multiple high-speed impacts.
