Too thin, not able to stretch
I ordered a sample of the 24K Chopped Forged Carbon Fiber Titanium Black Vinyl Wrap. Loved the pattern and the color is a perfect color to go along with my build. I did however notice that when I attempted to heat and stretch the film that it would lose the pattern completely and just to a solid gloss color. I reached out to the company and expressed my concerns, and was informed that I shouldn’t use too much heat and to avoid over stretching. Advised to possibly use a hair dryer on low heat. I went ahead and ordered a 5’x20’ roll. I have attempted every way I can conceive to not lose the pattern in the film. I have used a hair dryer on low heat as advised up to the point where you can see the pattern start to disappear. Unfortunately this doesn’t get the vinyl warm enough to wrap to complex shapes. You definitely can not wrap mirrors. If you have any heat whatsoever and attempt to stretch the pattern is immediately compromised. It has absolutely no memory, does not shrink, and although you can slightly stretch it around corners, if you go too far it then just becomes a solid color wrap or snapps. I had to become creative when wrapping the exterior trim pieces on my car, and fortunately the chopped pattern allows for you to overlap and overlay it and hide it. If I needed to shrink it I would instead have to cut and remove material then lay it to where you couldn’t see the cut marks, and if I had a corner or curve that required quite a bit of stretch, I would have to cut and piece in material. Again the pattern helps hide these imperfections. I think this is a really great looking wrap however it definitely can not be compared to higher quality brands such as Vvivid, 3M, Tinybot etc. Hopefully they can figure out how to provide this style that allows you to stretch and shrink the material without the fear of losing the pattern.
