Sterling Flotation S-Class 600SXE Ultra-Waveless Hardside Waterbed Mattress size Queen

Our mattress arrived even earlier than promised. It truly is as described, very firm, supportive, and waveless. The edges don't push down like my old mattress. The only negative that I've found is that it is a little more difficult to put the sheets on it.

I had a Strobel 95% waveless for 6 1/2 years. It got a leak that I couldn't successfully patch. I decided to get the Sterling and go 99% waveless since my husband gets up multiple times a night. I've had full wave, 85% waveless and 95% waveless. This bed has more motion than my 85% waveless had. Maybe it was mislabeled. It sure wasn't lower priced.

I needed more back support and ended up getting this to replace my strobel 1200 with the low tension top. I bought it at my local waterbed store to support those guys and keep them open. On to the review..This is my third or fourth sterling over the last 20 years or so. I own a hardside s-class 300 and an s-class 300 soft side in addition to this purchase. The feel is quality. The thickness is top of the line too. The built in thermometer is functional, but it's more of a novelty because you have to remove the sheets to view it.This mattress may have an issue with one of the valves, the inner seal cap fits pretty poorly on one side; this was missed at the factory for sure. I will call sterling and see if they want to replace or repair the inlet valve. There were two strange craters on the vinyl top, I don't know if that's an issue or not, my other two have none of these problems, they are perfect.Anyhow, the mattress has a ton of support, but isn't very hard. It's very comfortable and the inner structure does a nice job of conforming to light and heavy sleepers. The motion is taught, however, it still clearly feels like a waterbed. The bag isn't quite as deep as the Strobel I'm replacing, this makes getting out a little different, I might cut the frame down 3/8" to bring the mattress up higher to make exit easier. This mattress does have side support in the form of extra egg crate style foam. The added foam definitely helps exiting the bed.All in all, having had many waterbeds over the past 30 years, I can tell you this is the real deal. A very nice mattress except for the defect on my unit. I'm laying in it as I type..The
