Chooka Women's Duck Skimmer

These are everything I was looking for in a rain shoe! I wanted something comfortable and cute that I could wear with a business suit as easily as with jeans that, obviously, keep my feet dry. I've worn them a few times in the rain and while they're not the warmest or most water proof shoes I've ever owned, they look really good with professional attire and are extremely comfortable.I own a couple pairs of rain boots and a pair of the regular duck shoes, but I find them to be cumbersome and hot. One of the best parts of these little flats are that I can stick them in my purse and switch out from my nice leather shoes if it starts raining. Even if my feet still get a little damp in these shoes, I'm very glad that I won't be ruining any more leather ballet flats because the weather catches me off guard.The one big pro with these shoes is just how soft and comfortable they are. My regular duck shoes give me terrible blisters, but the rubber on these is very flexible and the insole is so soft! I wore them to work this morning and didn't even realize when I went out for lunch that I hadn't even switched out of them yet.The only negative is the lack of half sizing. The 7's were too small and the 8's are just a tag too big. I've chosen to go with the 8 and add a heel liner.

I usually wear a 9 or 9-1/2 depending on source. Based on other reviews I ordered a 10 which barely fits in length. On the other hand, the shoes I received are wide not medium. My foot doesn't slip out but the shoe offers no support. I bought them primarily to slip into when I walk my dog -- especially in wet grass. They work well for that purpose. Attractive design and soft red color.

I have wide feet and usually cannot wear mary jane style shoes comfortably. My toes are usually crushed in shoes like these. I am leaving for Scotland next month and wanted a waterproof shoe that was stylish as well as functional so I took a gamble. SOOOO happy with these! They make my foot look smaller than docksiders do and are so comfortable I can spend all day in them. I actually ordered two more pairs. My only disappointment is that the army green color I would've liked as well is not available in my size with any of the vendors. Probably the only improvement I would make is to the bow. I would like it sewn on a bit sturdier. My little Jack Russell terrier got a hold of one of my shoes and chewed off the threads that attach the bow to the shoe in about 3 seconds. It would be nice if they used a thicker thread or some other material to attach the bow to the tongue of the shoe. I tried to sew it back on with limited success but I was reluctant to just tear off both the bows. They add character to the shoes. Hopefully it will last on my shoe but if not, maybe I can find a shoe repair place somewhere. Hard to find them these days...

I so wished these would fit, as I have been looking for something to wear around the yard, out in the rain, etc. Size 8 is too small, size 9 is too big. I'm an 8 1/2. Wish they came in half sizes. Even with a heavy sock the 9's are still too long. So disappointed. They were "cut" low on the upper which was what I was looking for b/c I have a very high instep and I can't wear the rain shoes that come up high on the foot. I had high hopes, but I was disappointed. Please consider making these in half sizes and I will definitely buy a pair. Returning the product. :(

I'm a 9 (and rarely, a 9.5) - these 9s were way too small - so I ordered them in 10. With socks, the 10s are fine. So far I've only tried them on in the house. They are super cute. N@rd$trom sells these, so I knew they would be good quality. I am very happy with the design. A traditional duck boot look but lighter, more feminine - I didn't want to lug around in heavy boots. They seem able to accommodate my Rx orthotics too.

I bought these shoes primarily to wear when I take the dogs out in the early morning when the grass is wet with dew and when it is raining. They are perfect for that, but I have also worn them whenever I have to go somewhere during or after a rain shower. They are cute and comfortable. I did get blisters on my heels the first time I wore them, but those calloused over after a few days, so not a big problem for me. I am thinking of buying another pair in a different color. Love these little shoes.

I love the cute look of these shoes and how nice it is to have a shoe you can wear out on rainy days with no worries. I now have them in red, navy, and black in the 8 medium. I haven't worn them for more than a couple of hours at a time (one pair only) but so far they are comfortable. I plan to order some Dr. Scholl's moleskin padding strips just in case. My only surprise was that the first red skimmer came and I had to return them because they had scuff marks on all areas and looked like they had been worn. For $69, I didn't expect that! Disappointing, but there was no problem whatsoever with the return and immediate credit - thanks to Amazon.

These are great for keeping feet dry on a late spring, "no more snow on the ground day" rainy day, but don't expect them to keep your feet warm and dry in early spring when melting snow and deep slushy puddles are around! They are great for getting in the car and going to work but there is really no support and the inserts are pretty thin.They also do not breath so if you have sweaty feet beware! They are adorable though, so I will keep them for those occasional rainy springtime days.

This will come into play when going to work in rain. Why ruin a work shoe when you can wear this semi stylish shoe.

These are so cute and (obviously) waterproof, but once they get wet and you get inside (and are walking on anything but a carpeted floor) they tend to lose all traction.

I really like the shoe, however it runs large. The sole is also coming loose already. I've only worn them a couple of times!

I like the shoe and very true to color. They do get slippery on bottom on certain floors.

The sole is attached to the shoe unevenly. On one side the toe box even fits differently. I kept them because I was going on a trip. Wish it was different.
