Pros/Cons: Finally! A instant meat thermometer that's digital, can actually see the numbers and works on all different thicknesses of chicken, beef, lamb, turkey roasts or steaks. I've used this many times in the past few weeks from oven dishes to cast iron stove top pans and I love it! It shuts itself off when you wipe the probe off and close it. Ready to go the next time you need to use it again. Battery life will last longer because of that, but I haven't a clue yet as to how long it lasts or its' durability. I will update my review once I've had it for a year. I'll purchase another one if it lasts that long for me because it reliable and a great value.

Really good quality for the price! I use it for my sourdough baking and it gives a great internal temp read, fast and reliable! It’s also magnetic so I can keep it on my oven or fridge when I’m not using it! It’s very sturdy and the battery life is great, decent bit of weight to it too. Overall great quality for the price I paid!

This probably seems silly, but this is seriously one of THE best purchases I've ever made in my life. I needed a good meat thermometer for YEARS. I bought cheap dial ones but they never really worked - I ruined sooo many Thanksgiving turkeys. Every year I said "I HAVE to buy one" (and my husband said, "YES please do") but the ones at the store were either too cheap or seemed expensive for something I would rarely use (or so I thought), just felt like a pointless expense so I kept putting it off. Then my teenage son started getting into cooking, he really enjoyed grilling meats - burgers and steaks especially - and a few times he undercooked the food so much that I finally caved and said OK I'll grab one.. I've never been so grateful for my own laziness! I didnt want to go to the grocery store, there were only 1 or 2 options and I wasn't excited about them, so naturally I jumped on Amazon. This was one of the best reviewed and top recommended, AND was also shockingly inexpensive (I think I paid around $10). I was impressed as soon as I got it. I love that it turns on as soon as you 'open' it, its always ready, it really is instant and the thermometer works flawlessly. I actually used it on myself, as a body temp thermometer, just to test it - and YUP I was a perfectly healthy 98.6! Its super easy to clean, its like the perfect kitchen tool. AAAAND, as if I didnt already love it enough, only recently discovered that its a freaking MAGNET! So we never have to dig for it, its always an arm's length away. My budding chef of a son has also raved about it, its sort of a running joke with us now, how this is one of our most prized possessions. And needless to say, no one has undercooked OR overcooked anything since we got this. We use it way more often than I ever would've expected. Its like my special kitchen buddy! O' Thermomonster, where have you been all my life? I have finally found my true love! (Dont tell my husband)

It's great. It's not 0.5 seconds, it takes a little longer than that but it's still much faster than other "instant" thermometers i've owned. It's accurate, it's clear and bright, and what I really love is when you have to flip it upside down, the display flips so you can read it, you can lock it but it's a nice feature. I've been venturing more into the culinary world and this has helped me so much. It's nice and durable, lightweight, feels sturdy, the locking mechanism has held up really nice, and i've used it a ton, hasn't worn out like of others.

I do not often write reviews. I never write them immediately after I receive a product. However, I received my instant read thermometer about a hour ago and just opened it up and everything about it was impressive and extremely functional for an exceptionally low price. I will get this out of the way that the instruction's typeface is a very small font and I an 63 but I don't think they will be needed anyway. Think iPhone. I extended the probe and the display lit up immediately. I closed it and it shut off. Very cool. I extended it again and the display came back on. This time I turned the thermometer upside down and the display rotated with it - what a great feature. I can see this being extremely useful for when you have to probe at different angles. If that wasn't enough, there is a lock button that will allow you to probe something where you cannot view the temp by simply pressing the lock button and reading it at your convenience. Finally, as I marveled at my new tool for upping my fried chicken game, I noticed the thermometer has two urethane pads so the thermometer will not slide on hard surfaces. Thank you Thermo Monster for letting me think that I am a genius for choosing your product. To anyone reading this review, this is the first instant thermometer I have ever owned. If all instant thermometers have these features and I am just unaware of it, then I still stand by my review that this thermometer is a great value.

Absolutely love this ThermoMonster M1 thermometer! I bought it specifically for sourdough bread making. It gives fast and accurate temperature readings, which is perfect for checking water temperature, dough temp, and even the internal temperature of baked bread. React quickly and seems to provide right temperature. Shut down when in rest and get back as soon as you move it, that's great! Really love it.
