Does the included long screw bit work with impact driver?

The 320 will come with a driver bit but it is not rated to be used with an impact driver.

this says up to 1 1/2" thick, could I still use it for a 2x4 and just finish the hole myself? why is it limited to 1 1/2" thick?

Yes, it will work with 2" lumber, you will use the 1-1/2" settings with the 2-1/2" screws.
